Tracee Ellis Ross is the latest celebrity victim of a Los Angeles burglary. According to local outlet KNBC, the 52-year-old actress’s home was broken into early Tuesday morning, September 2, with thieves making off with more than $100,000 worth of jewelry and handbags.
(Photo by JC Olivera/Getty Images)Police reported that three suspects entered the residence through a glass door at approximately 12:30 a.m. Staff members discovered the break-in when they arrived and found the home ransacked.
Actress Was Not Home During the Break-In
Fortunately, Ross was not at home when the burglary occurred. Authorities confirmed that no one was injured during the incident. Police have obtained footage from the property’s security system, which is now part of the ongoing investigation.
Part of a Series of Celebrity Burglaries
GettyThe robbery is the latest in a string of celebrity home break-ins in Los Angeles this summer. In June, thieves broke into Brad Pitt’s Los Feliz residence through a front window while he was out of town.
Police confirmed that Brad Pitt’s Los Feliz home was also targeted earlier this summer. The burglary occurred around 10:30 p.m. on June 25, and according to the LAPD, the suspects “ransacked the location, then fled the location with miscellaneous property.” Pitt, 61, was not home at the time, and the three suspects have not yet been publicly identified.
Earlier in 2025, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s Los Angeles home was burglarized on Valentine’s Day. Police sources told NBC News, ABC News, and TMZ that burglars allegedly smashed a glass door or window to gain entry before fleeing with stolen property.
On August 5, 2024, the Los Angeles home of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson was also burglarized, according to ABC 7.
Jennifer Aniston was also the victim of a crime in May when a man allegedly drove his car through the front gates of her Bel Air home.

Similar incidents were reported at the homes of Dodgers infielders Max Muncy and Freddie Freeman in 2023, while LAFC striker Olivier Giroud’s Los Angeles home was burglarized in February.
