Paris Hilton Addresses Claim Ghislaine Maxwell Tried to Recruit Her for Jeffrey Epstein

Paris Hilton is pushing back against resurfaced allegations that Ghislaine Maxwell once attempted to introduce her to Jeffrey Epstein when she was a teenager. Hilton, now 44, addressed the reports in a new interview with The Sunday Times Magazine and said she does not recall meeting Maxwell at all.

The allegation came to light again after composer Christopher Mason said in the 2020 Lifetime docuseries “Surviving Jeffrey Epstein” that Maxwell noticed Hilton at a party in 2000. According to Mason, Maxwell allegedly said Hilton would be “perfect for Jeffrey” and asked a friend to introduce them. Hilton, who was 19 at the time, said the description does not match her memory.

“I do not even remember meeting her,” Hilton told The Sunday Times in an interview published Sunday. “I am such a good clickbait name.”

A Rumor That Will Not Go Away

Hilton acknowledged that photos exist of her standing near Maxwell and Donald Trump at a fashion event in New York in 2000, which outlets including E! News and Entertainment Weekly have reported. However, Hilton emphasized that a photograph does not mean a relationship ever existed.

Reports of Maxwell attempting to recruit Hilton have circulated since the 2020 docuseries aired. The story resurfaced this month as the public continues to examine the Epstein case through newly unsealed documents and interviews. Hilton told The Sunday Times that her fame makes her an easy target for speculation.

“It feels like people just want to attach my name to anything sensational,” she said, according to People.

Maxwell is serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking and aiding Epstein in the abuse of underage girls. She has not publicly commented on the claim involving Hilton. Epstein passed away in jail in 2019.

Hilton Speaks on Her Own Terms

Hilton used the interview to highlight how her public image has changed since the early 2000s. Once known primarily as a reality star and tabloid fixture, she now runs her media company, 11:11 Media, and often speaks about institutional abuse in youth care facilities. She has testified before lawmakers and supported legislation tied to reforming the troubled teen industry.

Hilton’s decision to address the resurfaced allegations comes at a time when scrutiny around Epstein’s network continues, especially as more documents and testimony become public. While her name has appeared in the conversation before, Hilton maintains she had no connection to Epstein or Maxwell beyond being photographed near them decades ago.

For now, Hilton has made her position clear. The claim is not true, and she intends to move on.
