Jack Osbourne Unfazed by Snakes and Ants in First ‘I’m a Celebrity’ Task

Jack Osbourne has officially embarked on his stint in the 25th series of the British reality television show “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

The show’s format sees a group of celebrities living together in a camp in the Australian jungle. The conditions are basic with very little by way of creature comforts. The participants are expected to undertake a series of often gruesome and adrenaline-pumping challenges to win additional food and treats. The show’s viewers vote who takes part in said challenges and, ultimately, who departs and who wins the series.

Osbourne, 40, joined nine other high-profile figures in Australia, where he’ll stay for up to three weeks if he makes it to the final of the show.

Suffice it to say, he’s proven a capable campmate and popular with viewers after the first episode aired on Sunday, November 16.

Jack Osbourne Won His First ‘I’m a Celebrity’ Challenge

In the first episode of series 25 of “I’m a Celebrity,” the campmates were split into two groups of five.

Jack Osbourne’s group consisted of him, comedian Ruby Wax, actress Lisa Riley, former England soccer star Alex Scott, and social media personality Angryginge. The other group comprised television presenter Kelly Brook, actress Shona McGarty, musician Martin Kemp, radio presenter Eddie Kadi, and rapper Aitch.

Each group of five were set a challenge whereby two from each group would obtain a car key. The key would grant them access to a VIP car. The car would take them to their camp in luxury, where they’d have steak for dinner and sleep in the most comfortable beds. The remaining six would travel to camp in a smelly car, eat basic rations, and sleep in hammocks.

While the other group had to dig around in fish guts to gain access to their keys, Osbourne’s had to unscrew nuts in a box filled with biting green ants. To make matters worse, their heads were encased in snake-filled glass boxes.

Osbourne Absolutely Nailed His Task

The media personality and youngest son of Sharon and the late Ozzy Osbourne was the first to unscrew all of the nuts in his box. He remained remarkably calm as he was bitten by ants and surrounded by snakes.

It meant Osbourne earned a comfortable trip to camp, the nicest bed, and a steak dinner on his first evening. The other three to do so were Angryginge, Aitch, and Eddie Kadi.

Upon his arrival in camp, Osbourne took responsibility for lighting the campfire. His calmness in the task and his survival skills should come as no surprise to anyone familiar with him — he’s hosted the likes of “Jack Osbourne: Adrenaline Junkie” and “Jack Osbourne: Fearless” in the past.

“I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” fans have had lots to say about him.

Osbourne’s Fans Say He’s ‘Definitely the Winner’

Jack Osbourne’s team are updating his social media accounts while he’s in the jungle. It’s safe to say the comments on the video of him settling into camp suggest he’s proving popular with viewers.

One user simply said, “Jack’s definitely the winner.”

Morever, another of Osbourne’s fans wrote, “Your pops is so proud. ✌️🎶”

Additionally, someone else commented, “Goooooooo Jack goooooooo!!!!!!! Team Jack ❤️🤩 YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!! I know your dad is cheering you on! 🤩😇🖤”

Fans have been voting for which celebrities take part in the first “bushtucker trial” and Osbourne has managed to avoid it. Ruby Wax and Angryginge will endure an eating trial called “The Divey.” It will air on the next episode tonight, Monday, November 17, at 9 p.m. GMT on ITV1 and ITVX.
