Extra Family Time After Ozzy’s Final Black Sabbath Show

One of the most meaningful moments for the family came after Black Sabbath’s farewell concert in Birmingham on July 5. Jack explained that instead of traveling to Portugal for vacation as planned, he and his family stayed in the UK when his children fell ill.

A close friend told Page Six that Ozzy was “re-energized” by the final concert, saying, “It filled him with life. It’s a beautiful ending.”

Ozzy had been looking forward to a quieter life, spending more time in England and with his grandchildren, a plan cut short by his sudden passing.

He added that Ozzy was sharper than people realized. “People may have thought he was checked out, but most of the time, he wanted you to think he was checked out. But he was very aware, always.”
