Nick & Vanessa Lachey Share Rare Family Moments During Disney Birthday Trip

Nick and Vanessa Lachey turned a milestone birthday into a magical family memory, whisking their kids away for a spur-of-the-moment Disney getaway. The longtime couple and former contestants on “Dancing With the Stars” shared a rare glimpse into their family life as they celebrated daughter Brooklyn turning 11, posting sweet photos from the park that captured the fun, the love, and the close bond they share as parents of three.

A Birthday Celebration

The “Love Is Blind” hosts decided to have a “spontaneous” Disney Day to celebrate their daughter’s 11th birthday. The couple shared photos of the family outing in a joint post on Instagram.

Nick, 52, and Vanessa, 45, shared photos of themselves with their daughter, as well as an adorable photo of all their kids, and one of the birthday girl jumping in the air with a big smile on her face.

They captioned the photo collage, “Spontaneous Disney Day is ALWAYS a great idea! Perfect day celebrating our special gal turning 11! We LOVE our Belly B… more than words can ever express! 1/5/15 ♥️💫”

The love continued, as this user wrote, “Cutest family ever ❤️,” and another added, “🥳🎉🎂Happy Birthday to her!! Disney days are the best days, smiles on my kids faces are priceless 🤍.”

This fan wrote, “Cutest family!,” while another person wrote, “Nothing beats a Disney day!”

Nick & Vanessa Parenting Techniques

In addition to their daughter, the former “DWTS” contestants are also parents to two sons: Phoenix, 9, and Camden, 13. Nick told PEOPLE it’s important for them to have a united front when it comes to parenting.

He said, “Dad’s probably a little more stern when it comes to discipline, but Mom is as well when she has to be. I think we do flip-flop on that regard. It’s important to be united. You never want your kids to be mad at one parent and then find reprieve with the other. You’ve got to be on the same page as parents and be consistent.”

In an interview with PEOPLE, Vanessa shared the one rule that she and Nick will never forget.

She said, “The one thing that we’ve always agreed on is that we will always, always let our children know how much we love them. It sounds so simple, but I didn’t have that constant affirmation, physically and verbally, when I was younger.”
