Euphoria is back!
After a long wait, the trailer for Season 3 has officially dropped, with the show set to premiere on HBO and HBO Max on April 12. New episodes will drop weekly on Sundays with a total of eight episodes in the new season.
This is expected to be the final season.
So, let’s get into what we know about the third season based on the trailer
Who Is Returning?
Much of the original cast is returning, including Zendaya (Rue Bennett), Sydney Sweeney (Cassie Howard), Hunter Schafer (Jules Vaughn), Jacob Elordi (Nate Jacobs), Eric Dane (Cal Jacobs), Alexa Demie (Maddy Perez), Maude Apatow (Lexi Howard), Martha Kelly (Laurie), Chloe Cherry (Faye), Colman Domingo (Ali Muhammed), and Dominic Fike (Elliot).
However, they will be without Barbie Ferreira (Kat Hernandez), Storm Reid (Gia Bennett), Javon Walton (Ashtray), and Austin Abrams (Ethan), as well as Angus Cloud (Fezco), who passed away in July 2023 at the age of 25.

When Does The Show Take Place
While Season 2 ended while they were all still in high school, Season 3 will start years later and detail where the characters are after high school. Specifically, it jumps ahead five years.
What Are The Characters Up To?
Rue, who is working at a smoke shop in Mexico, is tracked down by Laurie, a drug dealer, who confronts her and says she owes her money. With that, Rue is thrown back into this dangerous world.
Cassie and Nate are together and engaged, with Cassie being involved in making online content that Nate learns about after walking in on her. Jules is in art school, while Maddy is working in Hollywood at a talent agency. Lexi is also working as an assistant to a showrunner.
How Did Season 2 End?
Season 2 concluded on February 27, 2022, so let’s recap what happened since it’s been a little while.
After relapsing and hurting a lot of her friends through her actions, Rue tries apologizing to everyone, including her sponsor and friends. The season also ends with Lexi’s explosive play that follows the lives of her friends and makes a lot of people upset. That includes her sister Cassie, whose relationship with her best friend’s ex-boyfriend is portrayed and leads to Cassie having a meltdown on stage. She and Nate appear to have broken up over the play as well.
And with that, Nate turns his father, Cal Jobs, into the police.
Lastly, Fezco and his adopted brother Ashtray are stormed by the police, which results in a shootout with the police killing Ash.
