SEE: Eric Dane Appears in ‘Euphoria’ Season 3 Trailer Following His Passing

The world sadly lost Eric Dane when he passed away on February 19 at the age of 53 following a battle with ALS. Although the actor was well known for his role as Dr. Mark Sloan on “Grey’s Anatomy” and Jason Dean on “Charmed,” he also appeared on plenty of other shows like “Saved by the Bell,” “The Wonder Years” and “Married… with Children.” That’s not to mention “Euphoria,” which has just released the Season 3 trailer featuring Dane in his posthumous role.

“Sam Levinson‘s HBO series Euphoria is coming to an end with Season 3 and shutting the door on the popular drama,” according to Parade. “The latest full-length trailer for the third season reveals a first look at Eric Dane in his original series role following his death…”

“Tensions run high in the third season, scheduled to release on April 12, as the series returns years later with its original characters,” Parade notes. “Rue Bennett (Zendaya) appears to run into trouble with the Mexican cartel and is caught by authorities. At the same time, Maddie (Alexa Demie) reunites with Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and could bring drama to Cassie’s now-married life with Nate (Jacob Elordi). Meanwhile, Nate has a comfortable life that might get uprooted by enemies of the past, as Jules (Hunter Schafer) also deals with her new life as what appears to be an escort.”

As for Dane, he “appears in the trailer as his original character, Cal Jacobs, Nate’s father. Jules enters the scene dressed to impress when she stumbles upon Cal…” She asks him, “Remember me?” He tells her, “How can I forget?”

Parade provides a little context for the meeting, noting that “[a]s a teen, Jules had met Cal through an online hookup app and met with him at a motel, believing he was someone closer to her age. Despite the shock, the encounter continues and reveals that Cal secretly taped himself with Jules. Their dynamic led to tension in Euphoria, with Jules shaken by the experience and threatened by Cal to keep quiet. It becomes even more complicated when she learns Cal is Nate’s father, with Nate also discovering the hidden tape.”
