‘Summer House’ Season 10 Newbie Mia Calabrese: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

Mia Calabrese is a Chicago native and rising New York City real estate broker joining Bravo’s “Summer House” for season 10 — and she’s entering the Hamptons as Ciara Miller’s real-life close friend. Calabrese admitted she felt the pressure before cameras started rolling, but she’s also leaning into the opportunity and the new friendships that come with it.

“I’m so nervous, but excited,” she said in an interview with Bravo‘s The Daily Dish. “It’s so fun… If you would’ve asked me like a year ago if I was gonna be doing this, I’d be like, ‘No.’” Here’s what you need to know.

1. Mia Calabrese Is Joining ‘Summer House’ as Ciara Miller’s Real-Life Best Friend

Calabrese isn’t showing up in the share house as a stranger — she’s stepping into a group where she already has a key connection. She’s extremely close with Miller, and the friendship is rooted in everyday life, not just television.

“So Ciara’s one of my best friends,” Calabrese shared. “And we’re actually neighbors now.” She explained that she moved into her building first and encouraged Miller to join her, which turned into a daily routine of seeing each other constantly. “Now we see each other almost every day,” she said.

Miller has also publicly hyped the friendship. In a January Instagram Story post, Miller described moving into Calabrese’s building as one of her best choices of the year, writing that it changed her life — and Calabrese reposted the message with a playful update of her own, emphasizing how close they really are.

2. ‘Summer House’ Newbie Says She Was ‘So Nervous’ to Join Season 10

Joining a long-running cast isn’t easy — and Calabrese isn’t pretending it is. She openly acknowledged that filming season 10 came with nerves, especially because she’s stepping into such a well-known Bravo environment.

“I’m so nervous, but excited,” she said, describing how surreal it felt to be part of the show. She also admitted the timing still shocks her. “It’s crazy,” Calabrese said. “Now that I’m doing it, I’m like, ‘Oh my God. This is amazing.’”

Her comments suggest she’s taking the experience seriously, even while she’s trying to have fun with it — which is basically the sweet spot for anyone headed to the “Summer House” party.

3. Mia Calabrese Is a Real Estate Broker Who Says She Built Her Career From Scratch

Calabrese’s career is a major part of her identity, and she’s proud of the work she’s put in. According to her “Summer House” cast bio, she’s considered a “real estate powerhouse,” and she backed that up by discussing how hard she’s worked to reach her current level.

“I’ve worked really hard to get to where I am,” she said. “I started from the bottom and I’ve worked my ass off for years to get to where I am today.”

Calabrese also shared that she’s currently handling major listings, including what she described as selling an entire building on 14th Street in New York. “It’s 80 percent sold, which I’m really proud of,” she said, while making it clear she didn’t have a financial cushion to fall back on. “I didn’t come from money,” she added. “Everything I’ve had, it’s ’cause I built it.”

4. Calabrese Calls Her NYC Apartment Her ‘Princess Palace’

If Calabrese is a Bravo newbie, her apartment sounds like it’s already a main character. She gave a surprisingly specific description of her home — and it tells you a lot about how she thinks.

“I like to say I created my little princess palace,” she said, explaining that her space feels minimal but still warm. She also tied it to her personality and emotional comfort. “I’m a Cancer, so when I’m in my house, I like it to feel safe,” Calabrese said. “It’s like modern, minimal, but warm and cozy.”

In other words: she can hustle all week, but she wants her home life to feel soft and calm.

5. Mia Calabrese Has a Boyfriend (& a Puppy Named Winston)

Calabrese isn’t heading into the summer looking for love — she already has it. She confirmed she’s dating her boyfriend, Scott, and joked that his zodiac sign alone sums him up.

“He’s a Virgo,” she said. “That’s everything you need to know.” Still, she added that he’s “super sweet” and “really supportive,” and she even teased that he appears on the show. “He makes a few appearances,” she said. “He’s so incredibly supportive… he was like, you should absolutely do it, which is such a green flag.”

She’s also a dog mom. Calabrese has a puppy named Winston, and yes — she’s fully obsessed. “He’s so cute,” she said.

Calabrese will join returning cast members Amanda Batula, Kyle Cooke, Lindsay Hubbard, Carl Radke, Jesse Solomon, West Wilson, and more when “Summer House” season 10 premieres Thursday, Feb. 3 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo, with episodes streaming the next day on Peacock.
