“Bridgerton” season 4 closed with a poignant tribute honoring two beloved members of its production team, Nicholas Braimbridge and Tony Cooper.
“Bridgerton” wrapped its latest season with another member of the aristocratic family finding their happily ever after. This time, the finale united Benedict (Luke Thompson) with Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha). However, viewers noticed something different during the post-credits.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the hit series included a tribute card that read: “In loving memory of Nicholas Braimbridge, Tony Cooper.”

Nicholas “Nick” Braimbridge passed away in May 2025, as noted in a GoFundMe campaign organized by “Bridgerton” art director Alison Gartshore. He is survived by his two teenage daughters, Flora and Amelia. The campaign did not disclose a cause of death.
NetflixAs a scenic artist, Braimbridge helped define the distinctive look of “Bridgerton” and its spinoff, “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story,” contributing to many of the show’s most memorable interiors.
NetflixThe Season 4 finale also paid tribute to Tony Cooper, a longtime unit driver who supported both “Bridgerton” and “Queen Charlotte.”
In his role, Cooper transported cast, crew, props, and equipment to and from set each day, serving as a vital link in the production process that audiences rarely see.
What Comes Next for the Bridgerton Family
With its moving final tribute, Bridgerton closes another chapter — but it also leaves viewers with new questions, especially after showrunner Jess Brownell confirmed that another season is on the way.
NetflixIn a conversation with TVLine, Brownell said “It’s really a funny thing to be preparing for production before we’ve even finished airing Season 4, but it’s a testament to the fact that we’re trying to get our trains to run a little bit more quickly — or our carriages, I should say”.
NetflixAccording to People, once Brownell confirmed to Deadline that the next two seasons already have their leads, speculation quickly turned to Eloise and Francesca, whose stories are told in “To Sir Phillip, With Love” and “When He Was Wicked.”
Questions about the future of “Bridgerton” persist. Showrunner Jess Brownell has confirmed that season 5 will focus on one of the Bridgerton sisters, but she has not yet revealed whether Eloise or Francesca will be the lead.
