Peter Dinklage played a charming yet complex character on “Game of Thrones.” In real life, it turns out that he’s a knight in shining armour — at least to one delighted “damsel in distress,” according to Page Six.
Getty“Winter is here. And Tyrion Lannister is coming to the rescue! … Former New York Post columnist and author Linda Stasi, 78, tells us she was recently trying to get down some icy steps in Brooklyn, but couldn’t make it on her own because she’d banged up her knee a few days earlier,” Page Six explained. “She tells us she saw someone walking by, but had no idea it was the famed thespian…”
While talking to Page Six, Stasi recalled, “I saw him from the back. I said, ‘Sir, Sir, please can you help me, I can’t get down the stairs.'”
Dinklage didn’t hesitate to come to her aid, and the star’s demeanor left Stasi swooning. She told Page Six, “He couldn’t have been nicer or cuter. I told him he was a saint… I loved it. I fell madly in love with him.”
Linda Stasi Shared Her Peter Dinklage Story on Instagram
“Peter Dinklage saved my life—or at least my dignity,” Stasi wrote in the caption of an Instagram post that she shared after the memorable encounter.
“I busted up my knee and was trying to negotiate the slippery giant steps outside my family’s brownstone in Brooklyn,” she added. “Trapped on the top step I saw him walking by. ‘Excuse me, Sir’ I cried! ‘Can you help me? I busted my knee and I’m stuck!’ He ran up the stairs and told me to lean on his shoulder and he took me down the slippery slope.”
Continuing the tale, Stasi wrote, “I thanked him and he said, ‘My pleasure, Lovey,’ which is which is what I call everyone too. If I knew where he lived I’d drop off one of my new novels and a thank you note. I love you Peter Dinklage 🩷 #PeterDinklage #RealLifeHero #gameofthrones #tyrionlannister”
