Singer Ariana Grande will not attend the Actors Awards 2026, despite being nominated at this year’s ceremony. The “Wicked” star is up for one of the night’s major categories, but her demanding schedule will prevent her from being there in person.
GettyAs awards season continues, the Actors Awards 2026 return with Kristen Bell hosting the ceremony. However, the event is already facing a few confirmed absences.
Among them is Grande, whose absence was confirmed by E! News. According to the outlet, the singer and actress will miss the ceremony due to rehearsals for her upcoming tour across the United States and the United Kingdom.
Why the ‘Wicked’ Star Won’t Attend
Beyond confirming she won’t attend the ceremony, the actress revealed her “Eternal Sunshine” tour last summer. The stadium tour will kick off in early June in California before wrapping up in London in August.
GettyEven without Ariana in attendance, the Female Actor in a Supporting Role category remains one of the night’s most anticipated.
Nominated for Female Actor in a Supporting Role, Grande will compete for the award alongside Teyana Taylor for “One Battle After Another,” Odessa A’zion for “Marty Supreme,” Wunmi Mosaku for “Sinners,” and Amy Madigan for “Weapons.”
How Many Nominations Does Ariana Grande Have This Awards Season?
This has been a particularly eventful awards season for Grande. The Golden Globes recognized her with a Best Supporting Actress nomination for playing Glinda in “Wicked: For Good.” According to Vogue, it marked her second Golden Globe nomination for portraying the iconic “Good Witch” of Oz.
GettyHowever, this would not be the first time Grande has missed a major awards ceremony. She also skipped the most recent Grammy Awards. On that occasion, she won the 2026 Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Defying Gravity” with Cynthia Erivo from the “Wicked” soundtrack.
The Recording Academy also nominated her for Best Compilation Soundtrack for “Wicked.” While the Actors Awards 2026 included her among this year’s nominees, the Academy left her off the 2026 Oscars list, CBS News reported.

I don’t think anyone is going to miss her
