Grammy-Winning Group Reveals Long-Awaited North American Tour Dates

It’s been a minute, but the wait is officially over. After last touring North America in 2022, Gorillaz are heading back on tour with a 22-date run this fall. The “Mountain Tour” kicks off in September and rolls through the end of October 2026, bringing the Grammy-winning group’s genre-blending chaos (complimentary) to arenas and festivals across the U.S. and Canada.

And yep, there’s new music to go with it.

The band’s ninth studio album, “The Mountain” dropped on February 27, 2026, marking their latest chapter. Known for pushing sonic and visual boundaries since forming in 1998, thanks to Damon Albarn (of the band Blur) and longtime friend and artist Jamie Hewlett, Gorillaz have always thrived in their own lane. Animated band members. Art-forward visuals. A mix of alt-rock, hip-hop, electronic, and pop influences that somehow always works.

It seems like “The Mountain Tour” is set to carry that same unpredictable energy across the continent.

The Album Era Is Here

“The Mountain” serves as the companion album to the tour and features tracks like “The Moon Cave,” “The Happy Dictator,” “The Hardest Thing,” “Orange County,” “The God of Lying,” and the title song “The Mountain.”

For longtime fans, Gorillaz albums aren’t just playlists; they’re immersive eras. The band has built a career on pairing music with striking visuals and fully realized worlds. From animated music videos to large-scale live productions, their shows feel less like concerts and more like controlled, colorful chaos. In the best way.

This marks their ninth studio album, which is wild when you remember they started as a “virtual band” experiment in the late ’90s. Fast-forward nearly three decades, and they’re still evolving. Still experimenting. Still surprising people.

Given how long it’s been since their last North American run, it seems like demand could be strong. Just saying.

Guests for the tour include Little Simz and Deltron 3030; which honestly feels like a lineup designed for maximum vibe. That mix of alt, hip-hop, and experimental energy? Very on-brand.

The Full Tour: Locations & Dates

The tour hits major cities across the U.S. and Canada, starting September 17 in Orlando, FL at the Kia Center and wrapping October 31 in Seattle, WA at Climate Pledge Arena. Bottom line? They’re covering serious ground.

Along the way, the band will make stops at iconic venues like Madison Square Garden in New York, TD Garden in Boston, the United Center in Chicago, and the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. There’s also a festival appearance at Shaky Knees in Atlanta on September 20, which feels like it’s going to be a moment.

Let’s be real: Gorillaz live shows are an experience. The visuals. The collaborators. The unexpected moments. It’s never just a setlist; it’s a spectacle.

It seems like 2026 is shaping up to be a major year for Gorillaz. A new album. A full North American tour. A lineup that blends legacy with fresh energy. Not bad for a band that technically started as a cartoon experiment back in 1998.

Fans can catch Gorillaz for the first time ever on “Saturday Night Live,” this weekend (March 7), hosted by Ryan Gosling.
