Music icon Barry Manilow has something to celebrate as he recovers from cancer. The 82-year-old has reached yet another career milestone, giving him something to smile about amid his latest life challenge.
Barry Manilow Song Enters Top 10 On Pop Chart
The singer revealed in an Instagram video that his 2025 hit song, “Once Before I Go”, which was released last September, has earned him another career achievement.
“Well, looks like I made it, and I looked fabulous, right? You know, with everything that’s going on in the world, I wanted to check in and share some good news. In fact, it’s great news. Our latest single, “Once Before I Go”, just entered the Top 10 on the Pop Chart. How do you like that? I’m 100 years old with a Top 10 single on the pop charts. Top 10,” he said.
Manilow made a joke about his age again and his grandmother saying they will walk on the moon next. The singer was filled with gratitude and smiles as he thanked Clive Davis for suggesting the song to him, while also giving a shout-out to all the radio stations that played it and the fans who listened to it.
The Iconic Singer Gives Health Update
In his video to share his exciting career news, Manilow also gave an update on how he’s feeling after having cancerous spots removed from his left lung in December.
“I also want to say thank you to all of you for your messages of support these last couple of months. It’s been a long ride, and since I have no patience, it’s been agony. But I am getting stronger, and I have great doctors and wonderful friends and family, but I am so looking forward to getting back on stage,” Manilow expressed.
Manilow was forced to reschedule his tour due to his cancer diagnosis. However, those dates have been rescheduled for the summer, and he’s gearing up to do his thing for fans.
The singer ended his health update and career milestone by sharing that his new album, What A Time, will be out soon. Manilow will have more information on that soon, and he’s very excited to share it with fans.
