Barry Manilow Postpones Las Vegas Tour Shows Amid Cancer Surgery Recovery

Barry Manilow has postponed his upcoming Las Vegas residency dates as he continues to recover from cancer surgery, just weeks before the launch of his 2026 farewell tour.

The legendary singer announced Wednesday, Feb. 4, that his February 12–21 performances at the Westgate Las Vegas will be rescheduled following guidance from his medical team.

Barry Manilow Postpones LasVegas Tour Dates Amid Lung Cancer Battle

Manilow, 82, shared the update in a statement posted to Instagram, explaining that the decision was made so he can prioritize healing and prepare for his upcoming arena tour.

Manilow revealed in late December that doctors had discovered a cancerous spot on his left lung, which was subsequently removed. In his latest update, the performer reassured fans that his recovery is progressing well.

“I’m doing great and recovering very well after my surgery. I’ve been getting exercise and spending some time in the studio, which has been fantastic,” Manilow said in his statement.

He added, “With my doctor’s guidance and recommendation, however, we have decided to postpone my residency dates at Westgate Las Vegas from February 12–21 so I can stay focused on healing and getting ready for the tour that’s kicking off at the end of February.”

Manilow emphasized that the additional downtime is essential to ensuring he is physically prepared to return to the stage. “Having a few weeks to rest and prepare is what the doctor ordered!” he said.

Fans Rally as Barry Manilow’s Farewell Tour Plans Continue

Following the announcement, fans flooded Manilow’s Instagram post with messages of support and encouragement. “The miracle is you, Barry! Keep getting better. We all love you,” one fan wrote. Another added, “Get well, you’re an icon. The most beautiful songs ever.” A third commented, “Take all the time you need. We will always be here for you! Continued prayers and hugs.”

Despite the temporary delay, Manilow’s broader touring plans remain intact. He is scheduled to return to the stage on Friday, Feb. 27, in Tampa, Florida, at the Benchmark International Arena. The arena tour will continue through April, concluding with a final show in Duluth, Georgia, at the Gas South Arena.

In addition, Manilow is expected to return to Las Vegas later this spring, with new residency dates set for March 26–28 at the Westgate.

The postponed residency comes amid what Manilow has described as the final chapter of his live performing career. In recent months, the music icon has spoken openly about his health and his desire to complete his farewell tour on his own terms, while remaining transparent with fans.

Manilow has not announced when the rescheduled February Las Vegas dates will take place but encouraged fans to stay tuned for updates as he continues his recovery.
