Fans Call for ‘Garage Sale Mysteries’ Reboot Amid Lori Loughlin’s Hallmark Return – Here’s What We Know

It seems like some fan requests just refuse to fade into the background; and “Garage Sale Mysteries” is one of them. Viewers know Lori Loughlin is making her return to Hallmark with a re-appearance as Abigail Stanton in Season 14 of “When Calls the Heart” following a surprise cameo in the Season 13 finale (March 22, 2026).

Now, a Reddit thread from April 2026 has fans once again asking the big question: could this also open the door for the revival of her long-running mystery movie series?

Let’s be real; this isn’t just casual nostalgia. It’s full-on, “we remember every clue and twist” devotion.

The Hallmark Movies Fans Aren’t Letting Go

Hallmark released 16 “Garage Sale Mysteries” films between 2013 and 2019, turning what sounds like a simple weekend hobby into a surprisingly addictive mystery franchise.

The full lineup includes:

  • “Garage Sale Mystery (2013)
  • “All That Glitters” (2014)
  • “The Deadly Room” (2015)
  • “The Wedding Dress” (2015)
  • “Guilty Until Proven Innocent” (2016)
  • “The Novel Murders” (2016)
  • “The Art or Murder” (2017)
  • “The Beach Murder” (2017)
  • “Murder By Text” (2017)
  • “Murder Most Medieval” (2017)
  • “A Case of Murder” (2017)
  • “The Pandora’s Box Murders” (2018)
  • “The Mask Murder” (2018)
  • “Picture a Murder” (2018)
  • “Murder in D Minor” (2018)
  • “Search & Seized” (2019)

The 17th film, “Three Little Murders,” was also scheduled to air in 2019, per IMDb, but the series was pulled following Loughlin’s legal troubles. An 18th and 19th film were also in the works, but were ultimately canceled. And honestly, fans haven’t stopped talking about the movies since.

Fans Are Not Subtle About Wanting It Back

The Reddit thread didn’t just spark conversation; it basically turned into a full-on reunion petition in comment form. Fans were quick to share how much they still miss the series, and they did not hold back on their enthusiasm.

One user summed up the sentiment in a simple but enthusiastic way, writing, “Me!!!! I loved that series.” Another echoed that energy with, “I’d love to see that series brought back,” while others kept it just as direct: “Would love if they brought these back.

What stood out was how many fans connected the series to their broader Hallmark mystery habits. One fan even shared:

It’s clear the supporting cast left just as strong an impression as the mysteries themselves.

Others focused on the broader Hallmark mystery landscape, pointing out how the franchise still holds a special place compared to newer titles. One fan noted, “They need to bring it back. I wish they’d expand and do more mysteries in general. Honestly the best part of Hallmark for me is the mysteries.”

Another compared it directly to other fan-favorite series, saying:

Even newer viewers are still discovering the series for the first time and finding plenty to enjoy. One comment read, “I’m watching it now for the first time. I’m enjoying it. I liked the first husband better even though he’s only in one episode but other than that it’s pretty solid!

Meanwhile, longtime Hallmark mystery fans chimed in with crossover love, like, “Me. This was the only one I watched until Mystery 101 and Crosswords came along. I’m not really a mystery person, but I enjoyed the stories and it was a great cast. I love Steve Bacic.

And of course, there’s the group that still thinks about it every time Hallmark runs a marathon:

If there’s one thing fans agree on, it’s this: the series didn’t just disappear… it left a very specific mystery-shaped hole in their Hallmark rotation.

Is a ‘Garage Sale Mysteries’ Comeback Possible?

Although the network has ran multiple marathons of the film series recently, at the time of this writing, there is no official word from Hallmark about reviving “Garage Sale Mysteries.” But the timing of fan conversation is definitely interesting. With nostalgia based reboots being a big thing for many networks and streaming platforms, it’s not exactly out of the question that an older film series could get a second chance.

And considering how passionately fans are still talking about it years later? That kind of built-in audience is exactly what networks usually pay attention to. For now, though, fans are stuck rewatching marathons, revisiting favorite cases, and hoping someone at Hallmark is quietly scrolling Reddit too.

  1. I am one of the ones who has been saying that this was the best mystery series. The cast was excellent and they were so good together.
    Please bring the series back.
