Erika Jayne is looking back at the relationship that helped launch her time on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” — and admitting it’s one she wishes she hadn’t lost.
During a recent appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” Jayne reflected on her longevity with the franchise and how much has changed since she first joined the show.
When Andy Cohen asked whether she’s surprised to still be part of the cast, her answer was immediate.
“Beyond,” she said.
Now in her 10th season, Jayne is one of the longest-running stars on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” second only to Kyle Richards — a milestone that puts her firmly in the show’s core history.
But reflecting on that journey brought her back to the person who started it all for her.
Erika Jayne Credits Former Castmate for Launching Her ‘RHOBH’ Career
Jayne didn’t hesitate when discussing how she first entered the Bravo world.
“Yolanda broke my entire Housewives career,” she said, referring to Yolanda Hadid.
Hadid was instrumental in bringing Jayne into the cast, with the two sharing a close friendship at the time. That connection ultimately opened the door for Jayne to join the series — a move that would define the next decade of her career.
Hadid’s Role on ‘RHOBH’ Helped Shape an Era of the Show
GettyYolanda Hadid was a central figure on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” during her time on the series, appearing from Season 3 through Season 6.
Her storylines often centered on her marriage to David Foster, her family life with daughters Gigi and Bella and son Anwar, and her widely discussed health battle with Lyme disease.
During that stretch, Hadid played a key role in shaping the cast dynamic — including bringing Jayne into the group, a decision that ultimately had a lasting impact on the franchise.
Erika Jayne Says They Haven’t Spoken in Years
GettyDespite that history, Jayne revealed the two are no longer in touch.
“I have not spoken with her in years and I really should reconnect with her,” she said.
She pointed to the fallout surrounding her personal and legal challenges in 2020 — tied to her ex-husband, Tom Girardi — as a turning point in many of her relationships.
“When everything happened in like 2020 with Tom, a lot of friendships fell off,” Jayne explained.
“I just haven’t spoken to her.”
A Full-Circle Moment for One of ‘RHOBH’s’ Longest-Running Stars
More than a decade into her run on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” Jayne’s comments highlight how much her world has shifted — both on and off screen.
With her place in the franchise firmly established, the idea of reconnecting with the person who helped start it all adds a full-circle layer to her story — and leaves open the possibility of a reunion fans haven’t seen in years.
