When Lori Loughlin attended the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) Opening Gala for the David Geffen Galleries on April 16, 2026, she created quite a stir with her head-turning new hairdo. The 90s TV icon, who rose to fame on “Full House” and will soon return to Hallmark’s “When Calls The Heart” for season 14, posed for photos with her daughter Olivia Jade Giannulli, and nearly broke the internet with her chic new bob and swept-over bangs.
While online observers overwhelmingly loved the new look, it did spark buzz over whether it was Loughlin’s real hair or if she was wearing a wig. Luckily, the only person other than Loughlin who could weigh in on the matter — her beloved hair stylist, David Robert Naumann — stepped in to squash all the speculation.

On one post from Us Weekly, multiple fans compared Loughlin to other celebs, including saying she looked like Paula Abdul or former “Dallas” star Victoria Principal. One “Full House” fan cutely quipped, “Aunt Becky cleans up nice!”
However, others were not quite as kind, claiming Loughlin’s look was “fake” or that her hair was not real. That’s when Naumann, a celebrity stylist Loughlin clearly adores, entered the chat and was quick to defend his client.
When someone commented, “Cute-but it’s a wig,” he responded, “It’s not a wig 😉 I’d know ❤️”
According to People, Naumann also posted a pic of Loughlin in his Instagram Stories and wrote, “Chop chop for Lori yesterday,” along with a scissors emoji.
Lori Loughlin Has Faced Lots of Scrutiny About Her Appearance Over the Last Month
This is the third time in a month that Loughlin has sparked a huge amount of online buzz about her jaw-dropping red carpet looks — starting on March 11 at the Women’s Cancer Research Fund’s “Unforgettable Evening” gala.
Then on March 18, Loughlin turned heads again when she attended Hallmark’s premiere of “Hope Valley: 1874” and celebration for the end of “When Calls The Heart” season 13, which ended with her character — Abigail Stanton — returning to the show.
Many fans dubbed Loughlin “unrecognizable” after her March appearances, but her team took pride in her refreshed look. Celebrity makeup artist Lyndsay Zavitz posted the pic above of Loughlin, glowing and tanned, with not a wrinkle in sight.
Zavitz credited Naumann for Loughlin’s long locks for both events. He also posted some of the March photo and noted that he gave Loughlin “a soft effortless vibe with some extra Inches for this carpet.”

She was beautiful before. The face-lift does make her look fake to me. Her real look was more appealing and I don’t think when she is on When Calls the Heart the new look won’t go over well. My opinion only!
I just looked at the real closeup pictures of her with her new hairstyle, and I doubt from that picture Lori had a facelift. You can see the wrinkles under her eyes.
She is a very pretty woman who has gone through a lot of turmoil because of her marriage. It looks like she is moving on and the fact that Hallmark brought her back has been a huge help (IMHO).
I do think the hairstyle is much more becoming to her. So many people are wearing their hair too long when they’re older and it only makes them look older and then they have that ridiculous hair on each side hanging down in their face which makes you wanna just go and pull it back
