While showing off her skilled vocals during a rehearsal for an upcoming performance, Kandi Burruss has dropped the biggest clue yet about the reason for her unexpected split from her husband of 11 years, Todd Tucker. The “No Scrubs” songwriter, who starred on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” from 2009 to 2023, bluntly wrote in the caption of a mid-April Instagram video, “My man’s been cheating on me!”
Kandi didn’t directly say the statement was about Todd, but she did tell fans that her sold out “I Do, I Did, I’m Done” one-woman show at City Winery on April 27 “is gonna be a very vulnerable show.” She explained part of the show will be a performance, while other parts will be inspired by her “Kandi Koated Nights” web series on intimacy and relationships, as well as her podcast “Speak On It!” She added, “Can’t wait for you to see it.”
Kandi Burruss Gets Love After Singing Revealing Lyrics in ‘I Do, I Did, I’m Done’ Rehearsal
While practicing for the show, Kandi passionately sang a song that contained lyrics such as, “When I got home last night, something didn’t seem right. I think I know what’s going on.” The song went on to mention another woman “in my home.”
Fans are praising Kandi for “turning pain into money” with the performance. One wrote, “She’s singing down to her toes without trying,” while another chimed in, “She has such a soulful voice and it’s so unique. I love it.”
Another person promised Kandi that he and his wife will be “front row and center,” calling the couple “day 1 fans.”
Kandi announced she and Todd were splitting up a few days before Thanksgiving 2025. Their divorce was finalized in March, with Todd receiving a lump sum of $426,000. TMZ reported they learned from the documents that neither party will pay child support or spousal support.
On March 21, Todd supported Kandi by sharing a flyer for her show on Instagram. In the caption he wrote that Kandi “ain’t done” before adding, “lol just kidding.”

In the comments of her latest post, the mom of three indicated she’s taking her how on the road, revealing she’ll be doing a second Atlanta show on My 13 before performing in Charlotte, NC on May 14. “More cities to be announced soon!” she wrote.
In mid-March, Kandi took some adorable mother-daughter photos with her 23-year-old daughter Riley Burruss, who stars on Bravo’s “Next Gen NYC.” The pair were attending the 2026 Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards.
