The finale of Fox’s “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” season 4 saw five remaining recruits take on grueling mental and physical challenges, but only two came out on top in the end.
The final five consisted of “Sister Wives” star, Kody Brown, Bravo’s Gia Giudice, Olympian Shawn Johnson and her NFL husband, Andrew East, and influencer Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia. As the pressure intensified, the group began to unravel, but Johnson and Giudice powered through their last challenge, ultimately emerging as the season 4 winners.
Gia Giudice & Shawn Johnson Win ‘Special Forces’ Season 4
The finale of “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” saw two recruits come out on top. After days of both mental and physical challenges, the last 12 hours included intense interrogations and terrifying obstacles that included being submerged in water and buried alive, which saw the final five quickly buckle under pressure.
After Kody Brown and Andrew East were disqualified, only Gia Giudice, Shawn Johnson, and Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia remained. Their final test was to be buried alive without confessing they were military recruits. However, LaPaglia cracked under pressure and admitted to being a part of Special Forces. That left Johnson and Giudice in the finale, with both women completing the program.
In a confessional, Giudice shared (via Entertainment Weekly), “Shawn and I are going to be bonded for life. We completed selection. I truly didn’t think I was going to be able to do it. I knew I had to persevere and push through for myself and my family and also, most importantly, the DS [directing staff] because they really believed in me.”
Giudice began the competition alongside her mother, Teresa Giudice of RHONJ. However, Teresa was disqualified in Episode 2 when she refused to watch her daughter fight another recruit. Despite not having her mom by her side, the “Next Gen NYC” star continued to navigate the grueling tests on her own.

Thank you to the DS for pushing me every single day, and to my incredible cast; I’m honored to have gone through this with you. I wouldn’t have made it this far without you,” Giudice wrote.
She added, “And a huge thank you to my friends and family — you’re my constant motivation. ❤️”
