The season 4 finale of “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” is finally here after a grueling week of battling harsh terrains, completing terrifying tasks, and getting yelled at by the Directing Staff.
After multiple recruits either quit or were medically discharged, only five remain after last week’s episode, which included them trying to make it to an extraction point in the dark.
When the teams were caught by the enemy, Randall Cobb panicked and self-disqualified. So far, Brianna LaPaglia, Shawn Johnson East, Andrew East, Gia Giudice, and Kody Brown remain.
This week’s episode is all about interrogation, and which recruits crack and who remain poised under immense pressure.
Interrogation Has the Recruits Terrified
FOXAfter getting captured, the recruits’ hands are tied, and they have a sack placed over their heads. They’re brought in front of the interrogators individually and try to bluff their way out.
Andrew makes a mistake and tells one of the interrogators that his wife, Shawn, is back home in the States.
His cover story is that he and Gia are in Morocco to restore soccer fields for children. While Gia maintains her composure, Andrew fails to answer questions convincingly.
Shawn, Brianna, and Kody do better with their interrogators and tell them they’re in the country as influencers.
Brianna makes the mistake of admitting she thinks Kody is a “creep,” and the interrogators use that information to test them as a team.
Outside, Kody and Brianna have dirty water spilled over their head, as the enemy tries to get them to crack.
Meanwhile, Andrew and Shawn are brought into a room together, and the former NFL player now has to face the lie he previously told.
Andrew is forced to dunk Shawn under the water several times, and after failing to adhere to the DS’ instructions, he is disqualified.
The ‘Special Forces’ Recruits Are Further Tested Mentally & Physically
The remaining four recruits are forced to hold sandbags in uncomfortable positions until Kody cracks and saves the women from the interrogation.
Unfortunately, his stoic demeanor has him failing the task, and he is also removed from the team. “The level of stress just made it so that I shut down into a stubbornness,” he tells the cameras.
The remaining three women are near the end, but they have to endure being buried alive. When it came to the container being covered, Brianna was the first to crack and admitted to being part of the Special Forces.
While Gia and Shawn are in the container with a lid over the opening, they’re repeatedly asked if they’re in the military. The two hold strong and refuse to say yes, but it’s up to the DS to determine if they’ve passed selection.
The DS told Shawn that she was physically strong and resilient. However, they said she was “emotionally unavailable” and didn’t know if they could count on her in battle.
Gia, on the other hand, started off on a shaky note, but over the course, she grew stronger. In the end, DS Rudy Reyes told them, “Congratulations. You have both successfully passed this course.”
“Shawn and I are going to be bonded for life. We completed selection. I truly didn’t think that I was going to do it,” Gia shared.
