Every week, at least one person has gone home from “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test,” and season 4 has already seen 5 contestants leave.
Last week, former NFL player Johnny Manziel self-disqualified after he failed to navigate a tunnel with his team to find their target and set off grenades.
He grew increasingly frustrated while getting turned around and gave up. “That’s been something that’s been a weakness for me, for sure,” he told the camera of his penchant for quitting.
Now, there are 13 recruits left who are toughing it out to find out if they’re strong enough to endure the intense mental and physical challenges brought on by the Directing Staff (DS).
Read on to find out which “Special Forces” season 4 cast members are the next to leave.
Two Recruits Self-Disqualify
It’s day 5, and the DS wants to weed out the weaker recruits. They call the cast to attention, and Rudy Reyes tells them that if anyone wants to quit, they should give up their armbands now.
Former NBA player Nick Young, who had been struggling with height challenges, is heard ripping off his armband. “Ready to [voluntarily withdraw],” he says as he hands his number to Mark “Billy” Billingham.
When Billingham asks who else wants to go, actor Ravi Patel is the next to go. The Special Forces agent then has the recruits reveal who they trust the least, and Chanel Iman’s name is brought up repeatedly.
Despite being chosen as the physically weakest, Gia Giudice and Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia say that Iman has helped them emotionally with challenges.
“That was harsh,” the model says in the car, as she wipes away tears.
The Next Task is All About Teamwork
In the next test, the recruits are in a village overtaken by opponents, and they have to safely escape with their equipment.
Team Alpha consists of Iman, who is their team leader, Mark Estes, and Jesse James Decker. Team Bravo has Shawn Johnson East, Christie Pearce Rampone, and Andrew East, who is their team leader.
Alpha struggles with their task, and Iman fails to show leadership. She also struggles with hauling the heavy equipment. “This is pathetic. Move!” Billingham yells.
Meanwhile, Andrew works with his wife, Shawn, to complete the task, and their team is the first to reach the finish line.
Next up are Guidice, Kody Brown, and LaPaglia, while the other team consists of Randall Cobb and Eric Decker.
Brown fails to listen as a leader and barks orders at his teammates, which results in them failing the mission.
The Next Task is a Terrifying Backward Dive Into Water
The Recruits are taken to a lake, where they are told that they have to dive backward into the water at the same time as their partner. “If you’re out of sync, you both fail,” DS Rudy Reyes says.
Jesse James and Rampone are the first to go, and the former soccer player flails and hits the water at the wrong time.
Cobb and East go next, and they miss the timing as well. The first to pass are Shawn and Eric, who land in the water at the same time. Next, Iman redeems herself when she and LaPaglia pass the test.
Cobb Is Questioned By the DS
The DS feels that there is something missing behind Cobb’s intentions of being on “Special Forces,” so they bring him in for questioning.
When they ask his motives for being on the show, the former football player says, “I miss being on the field and being able to walk off the field victorious.”
After going through a devastating house fire, Cobb admitted that he felt “selfish” being in “Special Forces.”
“This has been eye-opening for me,” he told the DS. “It’s not selfish. We will make you a better version of yourself,” Billingham said. “Greater father, greater partner, greater person,” he added.
