West Wilson Breaks Silence on His Emotional Conversation With Kyle Cooke Ahead of ‘Summer House’ Reunion

West Wilson is opening up about his emotional conversation with Kyle Cooke ahead of the season 10 reunion of “Summer House.”

Wilson discussed the meeting during the May 2026 episode of the “Show Me Something” podcast, which he co-hosts with Sophie Cunningham, revealing that he and the Bravo star spent three hours discussing Wilson’s relationship with Amanda Batula, Cooke’s estranged wife.

While Wilson said the situation remains complicated, he admitted the conversation helped both sides move forward.

West Wilson Says Kyle Cooke Conversation Was ‘Calm and Peaceful’

“I’m not gonna say [things are] good,” Wilson explained on the podcast. “Like, nothing’s perfect right now.”

Still, Wilson said he appreciated having the opportunity to speak privately with Cooke after months of public scrutiny surrounding his romance with Batula.

“It was obviously awkward and weird to start, but … it was not a gunfight,” Wilson said. “It was very calm and peaceful. [We were] trying to hear each other and get to a better place.”

Wilson revealed he initially hoped the conversation would happen off-camera.

“I’m not trying to get to a better place with you for this (expletive) show,” Wilson recalled telling Cooke. “I do care about you as a friend and this doesn’t need to be filmed.”

According to Wilson, Cooke ultimately chose to film the discussion because so much of the fallout surrounding the relationship had already played out publicly.

“I really appreciate him doing that,” Wilson continued. “One, hearing me out. Two, being nice about it and then three, ending on that note will probably be better for me because it was a much better environment to talk about everything than the reunion was.”

Wilson also admitted the reunion itself did not go smoothly.

“The reunion did not end great for me,” he said, later adding that the three-part special was not “gentle by any means.”

Amanda Batula & West Wilson Continue Facing Fallout

Wilson and Batula confirmed their relationship earlier this year following months of speculation among fans.

The backlash intensified because Batula separated from Cooke in January, while Wilson had also recently rekindled his relationship with Ciara Miller during filming.

During last week’s premiere of the “In the City” spinoff, Cooke questioned whether Batula and Wilson may have had an “emotional affair” while filming season 10.

Batula denied the accusation.

Wilson addressed some of the fan backlash during his podcast conversation, admitting he regretted the way he handled public questions about the relationship before it became official.

“I really, really, really regret the lying part of it,” Wilson admitted.

“Because now it’s like, no matter what happens or what I say I have not a lot of ground to stand on.”

Wilson also acknowledged that he understood why many cast members and fans felt betrayed.

“[At] the end of summer, [Miller and I] were canoodling again, [but] I told Ben [Waddell] I wasn’t trying to be a boyfriend,” Wilson explained.

“I think it’s still a shock to the system and people feel betrayed. I’m not trying to convince anyone that their feelings don’t matter.”

Ciara Miller Says Friendship With Amanda Batula Is Over

While Cooke appears willing to move toward a resolution, Miller recently made it clear that she has no interest in rebuilding her friendship with Batula.

In a recent interview with People, Miller confirmed she considers the friendship finished.

“Yeah, for sure,” Miller said when asked whether she and Batula were “dunzo.”

“I couldn’t do this to my worst enemy,” she added.

Wilson also admitted that he and Batula are still struggling to adjust to the public attention surrounding their relationship.

“We’re doing our best,” Wilson said.

“Going out in public is kinda scary.”

The highly anticipated “Summer House” season 10 reunion premieres Tuesday, May 26 on Bravo.
