When Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce get married, there will be plenty of places that they can call home. That’s because the music industry icon happens to own quite a bit of celeb-worthy property.
When Swift isn’t writing new songs or planning upcoming performances, “she’s orchestrating a real estate empire that rivals even the most seasoned property moguls,” according to Robb Report (RR). “The Grammy-winning songstress, who achieved billionaire status in 2023, largely thanks to the immense success of her blockbuster Eras tour, has crafted an impressive portfolio of residences valued at over $150 million, from the bustling streets of Manhattan to sun-soaked Beverly Hills.”
Beyond that, RR notes that “[m]uch like her music, Swift’s homes are eclectic, polished, and unmistakably her.”
Nashville Condo & Property
In 2009, Swift was just 20 years old when she paid $1.99 million for a 4,100-square-foot “luxury penthouse condo in Nashville’s upscale Adelicia building,” per RR. The home “features three bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms, with soaring floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of Music Row. Swift personally designed the interiors in a whimsically girlie, shabby-chic-meets-Alice-in-Wonderland style.”
In 2011, she bought another Nashville abode when she snapped up “a stately Greek Revival estate” — known as Northumberland — “in Nashville’s exclusive Forest Hills neighborhood” for $2.5 million, RR notes. Owned by Swift but currently occupied by her mom, the property includes six “manicured” acres with a “5,600-square-foot main residence [that] includes four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms, complemented by a 2,000-square-foot guesthouse. The elegant interiors feature vaulted ceilings, herringbone wood floors, and marble fireplaces.”
New York City Penthouses & Townhouse
New York City is another location where Swift owns more than one home. RR explains that the singer’s “Tribeca takeover began in 2014, when she purchased two adjacent penthouses from Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson for a combined $19.95 million.” While one penthouse was in the realm of 5,900 square feet and offered its new owner seven bedrooms and five bathrooms, the other was around 2,400 square feet and included three bedrooms as well as three-and-a-half bathrooms. The two spaces “were seamlessly combined into a sprawling 10-bedroom, 10-bathroom duplex complete with a billiards room and sweeping staircase.”
Three years later, Swift picked up another abode in the same building — a 3,500-square-foot loft with three bedrooms — for $9.75 million.
Swift also owns a townhouse in the big city — specifically, in Tribeca. In 2017, she handed over $18 million for the “historic” home that spans 5,148 square feet, per RR. “Built in 1915 and masterfully renovated by architect Leopoldo Rosati, the three-story home features four bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, a gym, a spa with a steam bath, radiant-heated limestone floors, and a paparazzi-proof garage.” Beyond that, “[a] Japanese glass wall frames the planted terrace, ensuring privacy and serenity in the heart of downtown Manhattan.”
Beverly Hills Mansion
After buying and selling more than one home in Los Angeles, Swift decided in 2015 to pay $25 million for a mansion in the area. Not just any estate, RR explains that the home is “a storied slice of Hollywood history: an 11,000-square-foot Georgian Revival estate in Beverly Hills formerly owned by legendary film producer Samuel Goldwyn.” Built in 1934, the home includes seven bedrooms and six bathrooms.
Two years after buying the abode, “Swift successfully petitioned the Beverly Hills City Council … to designate the home as a historic city landmark,” per RR. “Of the three Los Angeles homes Swift has owned over the years, this pedigreed residence stands as the crown jewel.”
Rhode Island Mansion
Swift’s most famous home is undoubtedly her beloved Rhode Island mansion, which happens to be where she has held her celebrity-filled Fourth of July celebrations in the past. Purchased by the star in 2013 for $17.75 million, the estate is “[p]erched atop the highest point of Watch Hill,” according to RR. As for the mansion, which spans an impressive 11,700 square feet, it boasts seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, as well as eight fireplaces and “panoramic views of Block Island Sound and Montauk Point.”
While the home was surely enviable as it was, RR points out that “Swift is reportedly undertaking a $1.7 million expansion—a new bedroom suite, additional bathrooms, and a full kitchen renovation—solidifying the estate’s status as a coastal palace befitting pop royalty.”
London Compound…?
Although it hasn’t been confirmed, RR notes that there are rumors “Swift quietly snapped up a £10 million (roughly $13 million) home in one of North London’s most exclusive enclaves” in 2023. Formerly renting places to stay in the Cotswolds and living in a Primrose Hill townhouse with U.K. actor Joe Alwyn when they were a couple, sources say Swift may have “turn[ed] her long-running love affair with the British capital into something a little more permanent.” Her supposed home, which was “reportedly once owned by an English politician, is undergoing significant renovations, with planning documents hinting at a private compound that includes a swimming pool and an orangery.”
