Season 34 “Dancing with the Stars” contestant Hilaria Baldwin and her family are feeling the love from DWTS fans after revealing a difficult loss.
On September 27, Baldwin shared the sad news in an Instagram post. The initial photo she included in her carousel showed her husband, actor Alec Baldwin, posing with two small dogs. Additional photos showed highlights from the family’s time with both dogs over the years, and it was the white dog Baldwin was mourning.
Hilaria Baldwin’s Dog Dama Has Died
In the caption of her post, she wrote, “Rest in peace, sweet Dama. You brought so much joy to our lives.”
She continued, “You were that dog that slept on my pregnant belly. Your life was long and happy. I know you are running through fields and eating all the cookies you want.”
“We are sad but grateful that we had you in our lives,” Baldwin added.
One of the pictures Baldwin included in her post showed Dama as a small puppy, indicating she was a part of the family for many years.
DWTS Fans Stepped up for Hilaria Baldwin After Her Loss
The post quickly received nearly 35,000 “likes” and almost 2,200 comments in the day after it was shared. Several comments came from people who wrote that they remembered when the Baldwin family got Dama initially and noted she was well-loved.
“I remember when you got her. I’m so sorry for your loss. Sending you and the fam all the love,” one fan wrote.
“Oh nooo. Dama!!!! Sending you guys all the love,” read another comment.
Someone else added, “I’m so sorry about your loss. Such a heartbreaking time. Sending hugs!!!”
An additional comment read, “She had years of peanut butter/sticky fingers hugs and kisses. What more could one pup want. Warm hugs to the family.”
Baldwin & Gleb Savchenko Will Do a Samba for ‘TikTok Night’
Next up for Baldwin and her partner, Gleb Savchenko, on “Dancing with the Stars” is “TikTok Night.” The third week of the season 34 competition airs on September 30 and viewers will see Baldwin and Savchenko dance a samba to “Shake It to the Max (FLY) [Remix].”
During the second week of the competition, Baldwin and Savchenko did a tango and received a total of 21 out of 30 points from the judges. They were one of three couples left at risk of elimination after others were called safe, and “Dancing with the Stars” fans knew that two of the three would be eliminated.
Ultimately, Baldwin and Savchenko were called safe while Britt Stewart and Baron Davis, along with Jenna Johnson and Corey Feldman, were eliminated.
