Iconic superstar Zendaya has been talking about her busy 2026 in a recent interview.
The actress, singer, and former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant, 29, recently participated in a stunning photoshoot with Vogue Brazil — the cover of which she is featuring on for the May 2026 issue. She also chatted with the publication about her intense working schedule this year.
Only 2025 Was More Intense Than 2026 for Zendaya
Zendaya began her chat with Vogue Brazil by telling the publication, “I think this is one of the most intense years of my life.”
She continued, “It was only less intense than last year, when I was filming all these releases.”
The star is, of course, referring to the five releases she has this year. Per IMDb, her romantic dark comedy movie “The Drama” is already released. The other three movies she has coming out this year are Christopher Nolan’s epic fantasy action movie “The Odyssey,” Marvel superhero movie “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” and the epic space opera sequel “Dune: Part Three.”
Zendaya’s fifth project this year is the third season of HBO’s teen drama series “Euphoria.” Four of the eight episodes have already been aired, with four still to come.
She is also recording voiceover work for “Shrek 5,” which is set to release in theaters on June 30, 2027.
During her conversation with Vogue Brazil, Zendaya answered various questions about her career.
When asked how she chooses which characters she plays, she said, “I like complex and interesting characters that challenge me and unfold.”
Asked what attracts her to stories that reveal the more uncomfortable sides of intimacy, Zendaya replied, “That’s exactly it: that uncomfortable nature. It’s important to have art that explores difficult conversations.”
She was also asked at what point in her career she realized that fashion could also be a form of power and positioning. To that, the star replied, “Very early on. Law (Zendaya’s stylist) and I always used fashion to differentiate myself and create my identity outside of work. It gave me confidence and was very important in building my career.”
Two 2026 Projects See Zendaya Starring With Fiancé Tom Holland
GettyPer IMDb, and as touched upon by the Daily Mail, having already appeared on screen with her fiancé Tom Holland on three occasions, 2026 will see the couple collaborating two more times.
Holland plays Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Zendaya plays his love interest, Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson. Consequently, they appeared in 2017’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” 2019’s “Spider-Man: Far From Home,” and 2021’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home” together.
This year, they will reprise their MCU roles in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” but will also both feature in “The Odyssey.”
Zendaya is playing Athena in “The Odyssey.” In her chat with Vogue Brazil, she was asked how she found humanity playing a literal goddess. She replied, “Good question. I think it really depends on how the character was written, and I can’t say too much about it because when you watch it, it will make more sense.”
She continued, “But the character’s humanity was already on the page and is a big part of her story. I didn’t need to do much more than follow the beautiful material that was already there for me.”
We can’t wait to see Zendaya in “The Odyssey.” Nor can we wait to see her in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” and “Dune: Part Three.”
She’s already killing it in “Euphoria” and “The Drama” this year. Make sure you check out everything she’s in.
