Tori Spelling is focusing on recovery and quiet family time after a frightening car crash that left her and several children hospitalized. TMZ broke the news on April 4 that the accident occurred on Thursday when authorities responded to a two-car collision.
The “Dancing With The Stars” alum was driving at the time, with seven children in the vehicle, including four of her own and three of their friends.
Tori Spelling Spends Quiet Easter Recovering With Her Children
GettyAccording to a new report by TMZ, Spelling spent Easter in Temecula, California, keeping things low-key with her children after they were released from medical care.
Sources told the outlet that the group is now resting and healing, recovering from injuries, including cuts, bruises, and lingering soreness, following the incident.
Hospital Treatment and Ongoing Recovery
TMZ earlier reported that another driver, reportedly speeding, ran a red light and struck their vehicle, setting off the chain of events.
Despite the force of the collision, Tori Spelling’s car sustained comparatively less damage than the other vehicle involved.
All occupants were first assessed at the scene, then transported to the hospital in multiple ambulances for further care.
Spelling and the children were later treated for injuries, including cuts, bruises, contusions, and possible concussions. They were released by Thursday night and are now continuing their recovery.
Authorities confirmed that no arrests were made, and the incident remains under investigation.
Sources familiar with the situation said Spelling’s actions behind the wheel may have helped lessen the impact, with her quick response believed to have prevented more serious injuries.
Spelling, known for her role in “Beverly Hills, 90210,” shares five children with her ex-husband Dean McDermott: Liam, Stella, Hattie, Finn, and Beau.
As the family recovers, the focus remains on healing and spending time together following the frightening incident.
Spelling’s Past 2011 Crash Involving Paparazzi Pursuit
GettyTori Spelling has experienced a similarly frightening moment in the past.
According to NBC, in June 2011, she was involved in a crash while driving her two eldest children to school, after paparazzi followed closely behind. The incident ended when her car struck a wall.
At the time, Spelling, who was pregnant, said the crash happened as she tried to create distance from a photographer who continued taking pictures even after the collision.
“Tori is really shaken up, but she and the kids are doing fine,” her representative told People at the time. “She’s going to the doctor for a checkup.”
“[The photographer] followed her into the driveway of the school,” a friend added. “She pulled into the driveway and tried to get away from him. She reversed to leave and then hit the wall.”
