Emily Blunt brought the glamor to this year’s Met Gala, which had the theme of “Costume Art.”
In keeping with the dress code of “Fashion is Art,” the actress wore high fashion statement jewlery – that came with a high price tag.
Diamonds Are A Blunt’s Best Friend
GettyThe “Devil Wears Prada 2” actress chose to elevate her all-black ensemble with a Mikimoto body necklace, PEOPLE reported.
The necklace includes “thousands” of Ayoka pearls, separated into strands that drape elegantly over Blunt’s neckline and shoulders. The piece also includes a 21.85-carat piece of morganite, surrounded by an astonishing 45.97-carat’s worth of diamonds.
And all that beauty comes at a price, with the necklace reportedly being worth a jaw-dropping $500,000.
The necklace wasn’t the only Mikimoto piece the actress was sporting on the night. Blunt also opted for the Mikimoto Bows Ayota Pearl Earrings, which feature 40.7-carats of diamonds set in 18K white gold. She paired the statement pieces with the Mikimoto Pearl Ring, featuring 2.8-carats set in 18K white gold, and the Mikimoto Bows Ayota Ring, with 1.54-carats set in platinum.

GettyBlunt worked with stylist Jessica Pastor to achieve the stunning look, revealing the pair had “a lot of fun” working together to “interpret the theme this year.”
“Typically for the Met Gala, the clothing fully embodies the theme, while the jewelry plays more of a supporting role. Here, we reversed that,” Pastor said in a statement.
“The body necklace became the garment, it defines the silhouette and directly expresses the relationship between the body and what adorns it.”
The necklace was set off beautifully by a black tasselled Ashi Studios bodysuit, per British Vogue.
Met Gala Proved To Be A Family Affair For Blunt/Tucci Clan
GettyWhile Blunt’s actor husband John Krasinski was absent from the gala, she was accompanied by her sister Felicity and brother-in-law Stanley Tucci.
It was the first time Felicity Blunt attended the Met Gala, though Tucci, her husband of 13 years, attended in 2003 and 2006, stated E! News.
The 43-year-old literary agent wore a chic transparent lace top with a black smoking suit. Tucci, who also stars in “Devil Wears Prada 2,” wore a fashionable green velvet suit. He accesorized with a matching pocket square and sunglasses.
The couple were dressed by Etro, Town & Country reported.
GettyBlunt introduced her sister to Tucci at the 2006 premiere of “The Devil Wears Prada,” per Harper’s Bazaar. The two later reconnected at Blunt’s wedding to Krasinski, and now share two children.
Blunt addressed the pair’s closeness when the pair received stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
“We spend far too much time together, and now we’re going to spend even more time together as people trample over us, but that’s fine,” she joked.
