Right now, the family has been receiving quite a bit of attention ahead of the sequel’s big premiere. Everyone wants to know more about the film’s stars. While doing press for the movie, Emily Blunt revealed she wasn’t overly thrilled about an outfit her spouse chose for an awards ceremony.

Emily Blunt Wasn’t Initially Sure About John Krasinski’s Red Carpet Look
Emily Blunt and John Krasinski attended the 83rd Golden Globes this year. The actress received a nomination for “Best Supporting Female Actor in a Motion Picture” for her work in “The Smashing Machine.” Teyana Taylor ultimately won the award for her part in “One Battle After Another.”
While Emily Blunt felt honored to be nominated, she wasn’t quite so sure about the outfit her husband chose for the occasion.
“When John pitched me this outfit and he was like, ‘And it’s a turtleneck,'” the actress shared on the “Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” this week. “I had to compose my face into, like, impassive, ‘Oh, that sounds great,’ you know?’”
His wife might not have initially loved the look, but John Krasinski went through with it anyway. On the red carpet, photographers captured “The Office” star wearing a smart black turtleneck and suit jacket. Emily Blunt opted for a stunning white dress and matching cape.
GettyThankfully, the “Devil Wears Prada 2” star came around in the end. Blunt told Jimmy Fallon that she actually ended up loving her husband’s ensemble.
“I thought he looked like Michael Caine,” the 43-year-old remembered. “He looked so cool. ‘60s vibe. But normally a man in a turtleneck gives me the ick.”
‘The Devil Wears Prada’ Series is Incredibly Important to the Family
When “The Devil Wears Prada” premiered in 2006, Emily Blunt hadn’t met John Krasinski yet. They began dating in 2008 and married in 2010.
At their wedding, her co-star Stanley Tucci met Blunt’s sister, Felicity. Tucci was grieving his first wife’s tragic passing from cancer. After befriending Felicity, the pair eventually fell in love and married. “The Devil Wears Prada” movies became a family affair after that.
Now, the stars are passing their love of the film on to the next generation.
“My kids saw [‘The Devil Wears Prada’] for the first time maybe a year or so ago, partly ‘cause their friends are very into it,” Blunt told E! News in a recent interview. She’s excited to take them to see the sequel.
John Krasinski is also incredibly supportive of his wife’s work. He was a big fan of the first film and reportedly raved over the sequel as well.
“He loves this one,” Blunt continued. “He’s a massive fan of the first movie, so I think everyone was thrilled.”
