Hailee Steinfeld is back on the red carpet after becoming a mother.
The Oscar-nominated actress made her first glamorous public appearance since welcoming daughter Harper Haize Allen with husband Josh Allen while attending the 2026 D23 fan event in Anaheim, California.
Hailee attended the Disney Entertainment Showcase on August 14 to promote her upcoming animated movie, “Hexed.”
The 29-year-old actress wore a sleek black trench-style coat layered over a crisp white shirt. A black belt emphasized her waist and added structure to the tailored look.
She paired the coat with relaxed jeans and black pointed-toe heels, combining polished outerwear with casual denim.
Hailee kept her beauty look understated, wearing her brunette hair in loose waves and selecting natural makeup for the occasion.
Her First Appearance Since Welcoming Harper
The D23 event marked Hailee’s first major public appearance since she and Josh welcomed Harper on April 2.
Her previous red carpet appearance was at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, when she was pregnant.
For that event, Hailee displayed her baby bump in a peach-pink Prada silk chiffon gown. She completed the look with a Repossi necklace featuring nearly 2,000 white diamonds.
Hailee and Josh married in California in May 2025 after becoming engaged the previous November.
Hailee Steinfeld Prepared Quietly for Motherhood
Before Harper’s arrival, Hailee reflected on preparing to become a first-time parent through her “Beau Society” Substack.
She explained that her preparations included practical lists and research, but the emotional experience was even more meaningful.
“The most profound and grounding part of getting ready for this baby has been the introspective side of it,” she wrote.
Hailee said she and Josh were preparing to meet someone they already loved deeply.
“For now, I’m blessed to be settling into the feeling,” she added.
Her Husband Praises His ‘Rockstar’ Wife
According to People, Josh, the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, has also spoken about adjusting to fatherhood while preparing for the NFL season.
“I do think this is going to be the best version of myself,” he said of becoming a father. “In all aspects, in my professional career, in my personal life.”
Josh praised Hailee for supporting his career while navigating their new responsibilities together.
“I’ve got an absolute rockstar of a wife that’s doing so many things right now and allowing me to be here right now and be with my teammates,” he said.
Motherhood Connects to Hailee Steinfeld’s New Disney Movie
In “Hexed,” Hailee voices Billie Doe, an unconventional teenager who discovers that she has magical abilities.
Billie and her cautious mother, Alice, voiced by Rashida Jones, enter a magical realm while uncovering secrets about their family.
The mother-daughter story has taken on additional meaning for Hailee since welcoming Harper.
D23 also revealed that Jodie Foster will voice Queen Celeste, while Walton Goggins will portray a three-eyed magical cat named Beef Roger Crummchuk.
Hailee has said she is excited for Harper to eventually watch the movie.
“Hexed” arrives in theaters on November 25.
