Did Darian Bryan win? The answer is…YES! Darian had a great showing tonight. His dishes were well-liked by the judges, which turned into a win for him. He takes home that $250,000 prize and a year-long mentorship with the judges.

Well-Known in Buffalo’s Culinary Scene

Before competing this season, Darian was well known in Buffalo’s culinary scene. He is known for his bold Caribbean-inspired cooking and energetic personality.

Bryan is originally from Jamaica and has built his reputation by blending traditional island flavors with elevated culinary techniques. This has helped him stand out both locally and nationally.

Before “Next Level Chef,” Darian ran his own culinary business and restaurant brand, Bratt’s Hill by Chef Darian. He has also hosted pop-up dining experiences and private events that showcased his modern take on Jamaican cuisine.

Darian competed on Team Blais this season. He quickly became one of the strongest competitors on the team during Season 5. Throughout the competition, he consistently landed near the top during the weekly challenges. He definitely built a reputation as one of the chefs to beat this season.

A standout moment for Darian had to be during the international fusion challenge. The show was celebrating the World Cup coming to North America this summer, so the chefs were tasked with fusing two World Cup countries’ cuisines. Darian chose Argentina and Germany and was unsure how he would make a dish work. However, he created the winning dish that night, earning a spot on the Top Level to cook and the Time Token advantage heading into the semifinals.

He used that Time Token and the Top Level to his advantage in the semifinals. He ended up cooking one of the top dishes of the week, automatically earning a spot in the finale without having to compete in the Elimination Cook-Off.

Darian now finds himself in the “Next Level Chef” Season 5 finale alongside Cole Lawson and Connor Caine. They are all competing for that $250,000 prize and mentorship opportunity with Gordon Ramsay, Nyesha Arrington, and Richard Blais, which Darian often talked about how that mentorship would mean more to him than anything else.
