B.J. Britt Will Have 2 Christmas Movies Premiere the Same Weekend: ‘Couldn’t Be More Grateful’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Actor B.J. Britt is feeling doubly grateful heading into the holiday season, with two Christmas movies set to debut on the same weekend.

On October 15, 2025, Britt joined two dozen fellow Hallmark stars to kick off the network’s 16th annual Countdown to Christmas in Nashville, and in early November, he’ll be among 18 stars aboard this year’s Hallmark Christmas Cruise. Britt will return just in time for the premieres of not one, but two, Christmas movies he stars in this year.

On Friday, November 14, the first movie, “#WorstChristmasEver,” will premiere in theaters, starring Britt alongside a cast that includes Taja V. Simpson of Tyler Perry’s “The Oval” and “Madea’s Destination Wedding,” and comedian Bill Bellamy. Two days later, Hallmark Channel will premiere Britt’s movie with Tamera Mowry-Housley, “Tidings For the Season.”

“I couldn’t be more grateful,” Britt told EntertainmentNow of all the love and opportunities coming his way lately, noting that he never grows tired of doing the work he dreamed of when he was a kid.

What Are B.J. Britt’s 2025 Christmas Movies About?

In “#WorstChristmasEver,” Britt will play Billy Turner, per the logline, a workaholic and divorced dad who “reluctantly joins his ex-wife’s Christmas celebration in Atlanta for his kids’ sake. While dreading the holiday with her new fiancé, he unexpectedly meets a lawyer who might help him believe in love again.”

The trailer, which dropped on October 22, reveals his journey to new love will feature lots of comical twists, turns, and hiccups along the way. The film will be released in theaters on November 14 and will be available to stream via Tubi on November 18.

Meanwhile, on November 16, “Tidings of the Season” has Britt playing a “serious TV newscaster,” per Hallmark, whose “life changes when he meets his young superfan and the boy’s hardworking single mom (Mowry-Housley). As he embraces positive holiday stories, romance blooms — but a career opportunity forces him to choose between ambition and love.”

Growing Up, B.J. Britt Got In Trouble for Being the Class Clown

“The Groomsmen: Second Chances” stars Jonathan Bennett, Alexander Lincoln, Tyler Hynes, and B.J. Britt having fun on set in 2024.

Britt has quickly become part of Hallmark’s core group of talent since co-starring with Tyler Hynes and Jonathan Bennett in “The Groomsmen” trilogy and 2022’s “The Holiday Stocking.” But he has been acting in TV and film for over two decades, including in series like ABC’s “Agent S.H.I.E.L.D.” and BET’s “Being Mary Jane.”

The work never gets old, Britt recently told EntertainmentNow, because he’s genuinely thrilled that he’s getting to do exactly what he dreamed of when he was a boy, growing up near Raleigh, North Carolina.

“I was the one getting in trouble in middle school because I was entertaining the class,” Britt laughed. “They’d call my dad, he’d be like, ‘You can’t do this!’ But I was like, ‘Why am I getting in trouble? I’m just doing what I see people doing on TV. They’re getting paid for it, and I’m getting in trouble for it. So how do I make this work?'”

B.J. Britt Sees His Acting Career as a ‘Huge Blessing’

Eventually, Britt studied acting in college and clearly found a way to make his talent and boundless charisma work for him.

“It’s such a huge blessing,” he said of his career. “I’m always like, ‘It doesn’t feel like work.’ When you do something for a living that you love doing, it’s never work. You’ll never work a day in your life. To me, it’s just me showing up and having fun.”

“It’s just been an amazing journey, amazing ride, and I can’t thank God enough,” Britt added.

“#WorstChristmasEver” premieres in select theaters on November 14, and will be available to stream via Tubi on November 18. “Tidings for the Season” will premiere on Hallmark Channel on November 16, and be available to stream on Hallmark+ the following day.
