It’s no secret that while filming “The Groomsmen” trilogy for Hallmark in 2024, stars Jonathan Bennett, Tyler Hynes, and B.J. Britt grew extremely close.
But while attending Christmas Con the weekend of December 12 – 14, 2025, Britt and Bennett were adorably attached at the hip while talking to EntertainmentNow on the red carpet, as Bennett declared himself Britt’s “emotional support human.”
The duo’s red carpet antics had us all chuckling and falling even more in love with them.

Britt and Bennett were among two dozen stars who appeared at Christmas Con, the largest fanfest devoted to holiday rom-coms, where fans were able to get autographs, take photos, and watch their panel discussions.
When the celebs chatted with press on the red carpet, Britt had his arms wrapped around Bennett the entire time, including when they chatted with EntertainmentNow editor Lauren Weigle. Bennett couldn’t stop laughing about the situation, noting that Britt gets too nervous for interviews, encouraging Weigle to ask Britt “whatever question you want — I’m his emotional support human, and I’m here to help him.”
When asked if they’re together 24/7, Bennett deadpanned, “Yes, this is how it is all the time. We’re stuck together like glue.”
Weigle then asked what Britt was “most looking forward to this weekend, besides hugging him,” and Britt quipped, “Well, we are attached — it’s not really a hug,” and Bennett added, “It’s just how we are now.”
Britt did say he was excited to meet and hug so many fans during the weekend, even encouraging Weigle to give him a hug as he said, “He’s a very good hugger. Very strong.”

GettyThis is certainly not the first time Bennett and Britt have had fun with reporters — and each other — during events, though they often have their “Groomsmen” co-star Hynes along for the ride. The three became close while filming “The Groomsmen” for several months in Europe, and have remained buddies ever since.
In September, Bennett told WCCB, “As you can tell, we have no fun when we work together. The three of us are really good friends, like I would consider us best friends in real life.”
“Every single second with them is insane,” he added.
But while they may love to goof off during interviews and red carpet events, Britt has also been very open about how meaningful their friendships are to him. At the Hallmark Christmas Experience over Thanksgiving weekend, for example, he sat next to Hynes on a panel and teared up describing how much he’s leaned on him.
“What you guys all see, I promise you, he’s the exact same way on set,” he told the audience. “My brother from another mother, I love you.”
“I appreciate everything you do for me,” Britt added before the two hugged and the crowd melted over their friendship.
You always hope that the projected sincerity is true, but when you hear the actor confirm it it’s very heartwarming! I have become a very big fan of the Hallmark hunks, especially Tyler! His facial expressions exude such emotion that can’t help draw you right into the scene with him!
