Hallmark star Jonathan Bennett is known by fans for having a fantastic sense of humor, and he had that on full display in a recent social media post he shared. Bennett paid tribute to his long-time colleague, Lacey Chabert, and fans loved it.
Jonathan Bennett Has Been Embarrassing Lacey Chabert for 22 Years
On September 30, Bennett took to Instagram to gush over Chabert for her birthday. He teased, “Happy Birthday @thereallacey 22 years and she still puts up with me.”
The first photo Bennett included in his post showed him with Chabert many years ago. Text read, “How it started…” The second photo he included was more recent, taken as they did a Hallmark event.
“22 years of hearing, ‘Jonathan, please don’t embarrass me,’ moments before we walk onto a stage or red carpet,” Bennett joked.
He continued, “22 years of the most beautiful glint of sparkle and fear in her eyes when we are filming and she looks at me with a smile only I know, meaning, ‘Jonathan whatever it is you’re about to do, you better not because I’ll never forgive you.'”
Bennett joked that he would always smirk back so Chabert could “rest easy.” He added, “That basically sums up 22 years of bliss with Gretchen Wieners. I love you.”
Gretchen Wieners was the character that Chabert played in the iconic 2004 movie “Mean Girls.” Bennett played Aaron Samuels in the movie.
To wrap his birthday tribute to Chabert, Bennett teased, “This post probably embarrassed [Chabert], so excited for the text I’m about to get to prove my point. This is what having a sister is like.”
