‘When Calls the Heart’ Alum Shares Inspiring Moment After Recent Hospital Visit

The family of a former “When Calls the Heart” cast member has shared a difficult medical update and Hallmark fans are rallying to support her. Mamie Laverock, who played Rosaleen Sullivan on WCTH, was recently hospitalized.

Laverock’s hospitalization came almost two years after a nearly fatal accident where the WCTH alum fell off of a hospital balcony in May 2024. Laverock has made great strides in her recovery after initially spending about three months in the hospital. However, a recent social media post revealed she’s experienced some setbacks.

Mamie Laverock’s Setback Led to an Emergency Room Visit

On February 15, a photo showing Laverock with a paramedic was posted on Facebook. The caption read, “Mamie had a set back this week and was taken to emergency.”

The note continued, “To our astonishment we ran into Chris, a lead paramedic for the team who saved Mamie.”

The photo included in the Facebook post showed Laverock with that paramedic. The “When Calls the Heart” alum had a faint smile on her face as she posed with him.

“Sometimes the story feels scripted. He works an hour away and just happened to be there. He said it made his day to run into us. It made ours too,” the Facebook caption continued.

Laverock’s family added, “I want [paramedics] always to know how grateful we are. I want them always to know the miracle of this story.”

Fans Are Praying for the ‘When Calls the Heart’ Alum

The “When Calls the Heart” star’s mom didn’t share details on what led to the emergency room visit, or how Laverock has been doing since then.

Dozens of fans left comments on the family’s recent post to lend their support.

“Hoping Mamie is doing well. Seems meant to be that Chris was there,” one fan wrote.

Another commented, “I hope Mamie Laverock is okay and on the mend. I love a full circle moment. It was meant to be. Chris being there at the same time as Mamie! What are the chances, right?”

“I’m so sorry to hear Mamie had a setback. She’s such a fighter and will be through this as well…I pray she is doing much better. She’s been through so much but has been a tremendous inspiration. Sending love and prayers for Mamie and your family,” an additional supporter shared.

“I love that you got to run into Chris the paramedic but I’m heartbroken that Mamie had a setback this weekend. Considering everything she’s been through I had only hoped for steady progress moving forward. Hoping for a speedy recovery,” someone else wrote.
