Sarah Drew gave Hallmark fans a fun look behind the scenes of a recent photo shoot, but it wasn’t just the photos that caught everyone’s attention. The “Grey’s Anatomy” alum took to Instagram on Friday, August 28, 2026, to share a behind-the-scenes video from the shoot. And yep, one very familiar face was behind the camera.
Her “Mistletoe Murders” co-star, Peter Mooney, was the photographer. And Drew clearly had a great time working with him. She captioned the post, “super fun shoot workin’ with the best team and my new favorite photographer!” before giving credit to everyone who helped make the shoot happen.
And honestly, fans seemed just as excited about Mooney’s photography skills as they were to see Drew looking absolutely stunning.

Sarah Drew & Peter Mooney Are Coming Back for ‘Mistletoe Murders’ Season 3
Drew and Mooney are likely familiar faces to Hallmark fans thanks to their roles as Christmas shop owner Emily Lane and police Detective Sam Wilner in “Mistletoe Murders.” The Hallmark series is an adaptation of the Audible Original series of the same name, bringing the holiday mystery to television with Drew and Mooney leading the cast.
The pair will also have plenty more opportunities to work together, as Hallmark renewed the series for a third season back in February 2026.
Drew shared her excitement about returning to Fletcher’s Grove, telling People:
“I could not be more thrilled to be returning to Fletcher’s Grove for season 3 of Mistletoe Murders. As I’ve said in numerous interviews, this is my favorite job I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to tell more stories about Emily and Sam. I can’t wait to resolve that giant cliffhanger, and I can’t wait to be back on set with my beloved community in Toronto.”
Mooney was just as excited about the renewal, adding:
“So excited about our season 3 renewal! This is one of those rare shows for us all. The cast is incredible, the crew is incredible. We have so much fun making it.”
At the time, People also noted when Season 3 is expected to premiere, saying:
“The new episodes will begin production later this year and will air during Hallmark’s annual Countdown to Christmas.”
Drew has already made it clear that she’s eager to tell more stories about Emily and Sam, while also finally resolving the major cliffhanger from Season 2. And for anyone who hasn’t watched the first two seasons yet, good news. Both seasons of “Mistletoe Murders” are available to stream on Hallmark+, giving fans plenty of time to catch up before Season 3 arrives.
