HGTV star Alison Victoria issued a desperate plea for fans’ help as her dear friend battles “one of the most horrible cancers.”
The “Sin City Rehab” star asked fans to consider donating as her friend, Elise Thomas, fights stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
Alison Victoria’s Plea to Fans
Victoria took to her Instagram Story on Sunday, April 12, begging fans to consider donating to Thomas’ GoFundMe amid her battle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
“[This is] something I wish I never had to come on here for,” Victoria began. “One of my favorite people and one of my favorite friends, Elise —who is literally the sweetest woman and greatest friend, and just like the kindest heart, and has like the sweetest family and children, and support system—is going through it right now. She is battling something none of us ever want to battle.”
She continued, “I’m watching one of the strongest women that I know, battle one of the most horrible cancers. And she needs your help. Not only am I donating, but I’m asking for your help as well.”
The former “Windy City Rehab” star made a donation of her own before asking fans to “help [her] show [Thomas] the love and support that she needs because this is going to be a really difficult journey.”
“This would mean the absolute world to me. I’ve never done this. I hope I never have to do this again. I love you Elise, and I love all of you for helping her in a time of need,” Victoria concluded.
Alison Victoria’s Friend Launches GoFundMe
Victoria shared a link to her dear friend’s fundraiser, which aims to raise $75,000 to help Thomas fight her diagnosis.
“The diagnosis has been overwhelming, and the road ahead is filled with uncertainty as she prepares for an aggressive chemotherapy treatment. This treatment will be physically demanding and will make it impossible for Elise to work as she used to, adding financial stress to an already difficult situation,” the fundraiser explains.
According to the GoFundMe, which was created by another friend of Thomas, the funds will help Thomas and her family with medical bills, living expenses, groceries, and travel expenses for her treatment.
“Your support will make a real difference in her life, providing comfort and hope during a time when she needs it most,” the post added.
As of publication, the fundraiser has raised more than $40,000 of its goal.
