Jenny Marrs Reveals She Got ‘Choked Up’ Recording Her Book
On November 15, Marrs took to Instagram to share how emotional she felt at times while recording her book.
“I recorded the audio book version of ‘Trust God, Love People’ over the course of several days. There were times I choked up while reading my own words aloud,” she shared in the caption.
Marrs continued, “At one point, I had to get up and go outside for some fresh air. On that busy sidewalk outside the recording studio, I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. I turned my face upward toward the sun. There, I prayed for strength once again. I prayed for a strong, steady voice. Most of all, I prayed that God could use all of the pain and all of the joy written within the pages of my story.”
She noted, “I prayed that whomever listens to this book or holds the hardbound pages within their hands will find in it a deep encouragement and a renewed faith in the One who authors the greatest stories of all.”
Marrs also shared a video about their twin boys. “This morning, I stumbled upon the video I made many years ago of the twins’ miracle story as a gift to their grandparents,” she wrote. “It was about ten minutes long so I edited down a bit ☺️ but I thought I’d share these images so that you can get a sense of our ‘Double Portion’ of joy as you read chapters 4 & 5 of the book. 🫶”
The HGTV star added, “Happy Saturday, friends. I hope your weekend is filled with sweet moments fueled by trusting God and loving your people well.”
