HGTV’s “The Flip Off” is officially filming season 2, and fans are eager to see more. Tarek El Moussa is back, as are Christina Haack and Heather Rae El Moussa. It also appears that Haack’s current boyfriend, Christopher Larocca, is joining the group for the wild ride ahead.
Tarek El Moussa Confirmed Filming for Season 2 Is Happening
On November 12, Tarek posted a short video on his Instagram page showing the quartet together. In the caption, he wrote, “Season 2 of The Flip Off is officially in progress… which means getting teased relentlessly on set by my wife and ex-wife.”
The video used an audio about getting burned out, and he added text on the video that read, “when people ask me about filming with my wife & ex-wife.”
As TV Insider noted, Larocca stood next to Haack, with the El Moussas standing across from them. This certainly gives the impression that Larocca will partner with Haack on the upcoming season of “The Flip Off” against the El Moussa duo.
The media outlet also noted that during season 1, Haack was supposed to compete with her then-husband, Josh Hall. However, Haack and Hall separated in July 2024, amid the show’s filming schedule.
HGTV fans were excited to see the Instagram post about the filming beginning.
“I think it’s wonderful that y’all can come together and still be friends. I love it,” one fan commented.
Another fan shared on Facebook, “I loved The Flip Off can’t wait for the new one, all you guys are so much fun.
Christina Haack Hinted at Her Boyfriend’s Participation Before
This was not the first sign that Larocca might be joining the others for season 2 of “The Flip Off.”
On September 29, Haack shared a video on her Instagram page that included him. In the caption, she wrote, “Filming the first day of season 2 of The Flip Off! @clecacheechampagne required. Ready or not: here we come!”
Heather El Moussa joked during a livestream back in January that maybe she would team up with Haack herself. The two ladies could compete against Tarek El Moussa, they joked.
On September 9, during a chat with Us Weekly, Haack was asked if Larocca would be joining her on season 2. At that point, she said that he “might make an appearance.”
Haack added that he could make an appearance as long as “it’s not dramatic, cause we don’t have drama.” She noted she’s an executive producer for the series, so she has some control over how things like this proceed.
“If we see him, it won’t be anything that would actually affect our relationship, cause that would be a huge mistake on my part, and I would never forgive myself,” Haack admitted.
As HGTV fans likely recall, Haack and Tarek El Moussa were married from 2009 to 2016. People noted their divorce was finalized in January 2018, and she went on to marry Ant Anstead in December 2018. Anstead and Haack split in September 2020, and she quietly married Hall during the latter part of 2021.
