Tarek El Moussa is opening up about what happened in Las Vegas. The HGTV star, who was involved in a fight in Vegas after defending his dad, gives a new update on the situation. He’s putting the incident behind him and moving on.
Tarek El Moussa Gives Update About Las Vegas Battery Case
In a September 2025 interview with “Entertainment Tonight,” El Moussa gave an update about the physical altercation that broke out during a trip to Vegas in June with his parents and wife Heather Rae’s parents.
TMZ reported that El Moussa’s father was being harassed at The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort and the HGTV star stepped in to defend him. El Moussa received a citation for battery that was cleared in August by the Justice Court of Las Vegas Township.
“It was just a really unfortunate incident,” the HGTV star said. “I was put in a really weird situation where I had to defend my dad.”
He noted, “Luckily, everything is okay, and I think everything is gone now and done now.”
Heather Rae added, “Yes, cleared up.”
El Moussa confirmed that “everyone’s okay,” adding that he “didn’t get in trouble with the law by any means.”
Heather Rae shared, “It’s life. We’re on TV, so everything is shown a lot more. But, you know, fights happen, unfortunately.”
In a clip following the incident, El Moussa told officials, “I put my chest to his chest, and I said, ‘Hey, is there a [expletive] problem? This is my dad.'”
Heather Rae El Moussa Said ‘Universe Is Testing Me’ After Vegas Altercation
On June 17, Heather Rae took to her Instagram Stories, sharing that things weren’t so great at the time.
“Guys, I must say that I feel tested right now,” she said. “Like this universe is testing me.”
Heather Rae continued, “Um, there’s a lot going on. I’m sure some of you know some things, you know.”
She shrugged and said, “It’s okay. There’s a lot of good things, too. So I’m trying to work on my gratefulness, but it also doesn’t help that I am PMSing bad this month.”
“But … breathe,” Heather Rae said. “Right?”
The HGTV star added, “Um, gratefulness … I’m grateful for a lot, especially this little love there,” she said as she pointed the camera at her son. “And, yeah, [her beauty brand] Heather Rae Essentials is doing really well. So, good things. But yeah.”
Heather Rae added, “It’s a lot. Lots of trailing up right now, I must say.”
