Chris Martin Opens Up About Charlie Kirk’s Family

Chris Martin is the latest celebrity to pay tribute to the late Charlie Kirk.

During his Music of the Sphere World Tour’s final stop in London, the Coldplay frontman sent his love to Kirk’s family and urged the audience to do the same.

“Let’s raise our hands like this and send love anywhere you wanna send it in the world, and there are so many places that might need it today,” Martin said onstage, as seen on clips shared on social media. “So, here it comes from London. You can send this to your brother or sister, you can send it to the families of people who have been going through terrible stuff.”

The “Yellow” singer continued: “You can send it to Charlie Kirk’s family, you can send it to anybody’s family. You can send it to people you disagree with, but you send them love anyway. You can send it to peaceful people in the Middle East and Ukraine and Russia and Azerbaijan and Sudan and London, anywhere you think might need love from London. Here it comes.”

Kirk, a conservative influencer and co-founder of Turning Point USA, tragically died Wednesday after being fatally shot in the neck during an outdoor speech at Utah Valley University.

On Thursday, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson was arrested for the shooting after his family reported him to the police, per Fox News.

Other Musicians Honored Charlie Kirk

Aside from Chris Martin and Coldplay, a number of musicians paid heartfelt tributes to Kirk following his death last week.

Country pop singer Morgan Wallen told the crowd he was praying for the Kirk family during his “I’m the Problem” tour in Edmonton, Canada.

“I’m not gonna say a whole bunch on this, but this song right here has been hitting me harder in the last couple days, and I just wanted to let Erika Kirk know that me and my family are sending prayers her way,” Wallen said in a video uploaded on Instagram.

Jason Aldean called Kirk “one of the best people ever” during his September 11 show in Detroit, Michigan.

“This is not the guy you go after, is what I’m trying to say,” Aldean said, as seen on a video shared on TikTok. “And it’s a weird country that we live in when you start taking people out because you disagree with their opinions. That’s not what we’re about here.”

Parker McCollum paid his respect to Kirk by sharing a photo of the late activist on Instagram.

“I don’t even know what to say anymore. Charlie was one of the greatest young patriots this country has ever seen,” he captioned the post. “Thank you for standing up for what so many of us believe so strongly. May God have mercy on your soul and watch over your precious family.”
