Dua Lipa Reveals Wedding Advice She Followed For ‘Magical’ Wedding Day

Dua Lipa has reflected on her “magical” wedding day to Callum Turner.

The popstar married the “One Night Only” actor during a small ceremony at London’s Old Marylebone Town Hall in May, before holding a star-studded three-day second event in Sicily.

Speaking to Vogue Italia, Dua recalled that hers and Callum’s reception was “such a beautiful celebration”.

The Advice Dua Lipa Followed To Make Sure She Enjoyed Her Wedding

The 31-year-old told Vogue Italia: “The day of the wedding was magical,” but revealed the guidance she followed to make the event extra special.

“We received a lot of advice but decided to follow just two: live the day as if we were guests too, and to constantly look for each other among the crowd without ever losing sight of each other,” she told the Italian outlet.

“This way we really have a lot of memories together,” the “Physical” singer added.

“I feel at home wherever Callum is,” Dua sweetly admitted, later in the chat with the fashion magazine.

Earlier this month, Callum told Esquire, “It was amazing, and it was… it was the most beautiful day of my life.”

Why Dua and Callum Chose Sicily For Their Wedding

Dua Lipa and Callum Turner celebrated their nuptials with friends and family for a range of reasons. While they have many friends in the area, they chose the destination because it was written in the stars.

“My astrologist also specializes in astrocartography,” she explained, a practice where a person’s birth chart is used to determine how their “energies” shift depending on where they are. “It felt like a kind of confirmation to learn that Italy is my most peaceful place to be.”

“I love Naples, and I love Italian style. Legendary icons like Mina and Raffaella Carrà have been hugely inspirational for me,” she added.

Elsewhere in the interview, Dua spoke about how her attitude to romance has changed over the years and how it has changed her songwriting.

In an episode of her podcast, she discussed with her songwriting and producer friend Mark Ronson how it’s easier to sing about love when you’re heartbroken.

“[Writing] about having a broken heart is very common,” she clarified Vogue Italia. “When I was younger, I found much more inspiration in the search for and the longing for [true love] because heartbreak is such a loud emotion.

“But now I want to discover what happens after you find love. I’m interested in the everyday complexities of a relationship, in its quieter moments, in the small things,” she recalled.
