Bo Lueders, who was one of the founding members of the popular hardcore band Harm’s Way, has passed away at the age of 38.
The band shared the news of his passing on April 2.
Harm’s Way formed in 2006, with the group having released five albums over the years as well as numerous EPs. Their most recent album came out in 2023 and is called “Common Suffering.” He also has a podcast titled “HardLore,” which began in 2022 and aims to share “stories from the touring lives of musicians (and other friends) from the world of hardcore/punk/metal music.” Over the years, his podcast, which he hosts alongside Colin Young (Twitching Tongues/God’s Hate), has “evolved into comprehensive, career-spanning biographies of many notable weekly guests.”
Harm’s Way Releases A Statement
“It is with heavy, broken hearts that we share that our beloved Bo Lueders has passed away,” the band wrote in a post on Thursday, April 2. “He will be remembered for his unwavering empathy and compassion for his friends & family and his magnetic, inimitable presence on & off the stage.”
“We kindly ask for grace and privacy as we navigate this extremely difficult time,” they continued. “For those struggling with depression or urges to self harm, help is always available. We’re not in this alone.

Tributes Pour In Bo Lueders
Under the band’s post on Instagram, many fans left heartfelt comments, paying tribute to the guitarist.
“I was just thinking to myself earlier today while watching the new episode how you two got me through a couple of the most difficult years of my life and hoped I could tell each of you in person one day. I can’t even describe how sick I feel right now,” one fan wrote.

“One of the inspirations on me becoming Straight Edge. Huge loss for heavy music,” a fan posted.
