Justin Bieber Reveals Painful Rib Injury

Justin Bieber is recovering from what he described as a “gnarly” rib injury after falling off an Onewheel electric skateboard. During a four-hour November 13 livestream on Twitch, the singer spoke openly about the pain he has been dealing with since the fall.

“My rib hurts so [expletive] bad, bro,” Bieber, 31, told viewers. “That st bro is hurting me bad, bro. I’m trying to play it cool, bro. This st is [expletive] with me.”

He also walked fans through how the accident happened. “Chat, I [expletive] fell on my side on that Onewheel and landed on my [hip]. So, even singing, laughing, everything hurts.”

Injury Comes as Bieber Prepares for Coachella Comeback

Even with the injury, Bieber kept his commitment to a scheduled rehearsal for the 2026 Coachella Music Festival. The event is set to take place across two weekends next April, from April 10 through April 19.

Festival organizers confirmed in September that Bieber will headline the Saturday shows. Sabrina Carpenter will lead the Friday lineups, and Karol G will headline the Sunday performances. Festival passes went on sale on September 19.

This will be Bieber’s first time serving as a Coachella headliner.

He has joined other artists onstage in past years but has never taken the lead spot. His last major run of performances came in 2022, before he cancelled his Justice World Tour due to health issues tied to Ramsay Hunt syndrome and Lyme disease.

According to a report in US Weekly, a source close to the couple, Hailey Bieber played a major role in encouraging her husband to take the Coachella stage.

“Hailey was a big influence on Justin’s decision to headline Coachella,” the insider added. “She nudged him and is always in his corner, hyping him up.”

The source said Bieber feels ready to return after releasing his 2025 albums Swag and Swag II. “He feels this is the best way to share his new music with fans and is very excited about the opportunity,” the insider said.

“He is more in control of his career. He doesn’t have people making decisions for him anymore. Hailey assured him that now is the best time and has been incredibly supportive.”

A second insider shared the same view. “Hailey was definitely the driving force behind Justin doing Coachella,” the source said. “She always reminds him that he’s THE Justin Bieber. She knows firsthand how much it means to his fans to see him back on stage.”

Bieber Plans a Career-Spanning Performance at Coachella

The singer plans to spotlight the new Swag albums while also bringing back many of the songs fans have loved for years. US Weekly reported that, according to the source, “He wants to showcase his Swag albums but will also do a lot of his older hits. The goal is to make it a celebration of his career and where he’s at now.”

Bieber has also started thinking about which special guests he might invite for the milestone performance, hoping to create a set that feels both nostalgic and fresh.

Even with the painful fall and the lingering soreness, Bieber seems focused on moving ahead and making his Coachella return a major comeback moment next April.
