Country Singer Hospitalized Again With ‘Complicated’ Condition – Prayers Pour In

Update: Todd Snider has sadly passed away.

American country singer Todd Snider is back in the hospital after receiving a late diagnosis, which left him with a “complicated” condition.

In a statement shared by the singer’s family on Instagram, they confirmed that Snider was rushed to the hospital after having difficulty in breathing.

“We have some difficult news to share. After Todd returned home to recover last week, he began having trouble breathing and was admitted to the hospital in Hendersonville, TN.” Snider’s friends and family wrote. “We learned from his doctors that he had been quietly suffering from an undiagnosed case of walking pneumonia.”

They noted that Snider’s condition has become “complicated,” which requires additional extensive treatment.

“Our beloved brother’s condition has become more complicated, and he’s since been transferred for additional treatment,” the statement read. “His care team and those closest to him are by his side and doing everything they can.”


Todd Snider Suffered Serious Injuries Weeks Prior

Snider’s latest hospitalization comes just weeks after he sustained severe injuries in an assault outside his hotel. According to an Instagram post from his music label, Aimless Inc., he was forced to cancel his U.S. tour dates to undergo treatment.

Days after the incident, the Nashville-based musician was arrested and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on November 2 for disorderly conduct, trespassing, and making a threat of violence, per TMZ. He was released the following day.


Prayers Pour In for the Singer

Snider’s friends and family ask for prayers as the singer faces his latest health crisis. Fans quickly flooded the comments section with well-wishes for the musician.

One fan wrote, “Love you, Todd. Please pull through. We need ya!”

Another commented, “Get well soon, Todd. There are more stories to tell.”

Someone added, “Todd! You’re strong brother! Sending love and healing vibes! Love you man.! You’re an American treasure!”

Another chimed in, “There are more songs to sing, Todd. Hold on tight,” while another noted, “Todd’s music has been there for me through the good times and the bad. Nothing but love for the man.”

A fan shared, “Todd is incredible his livestreams got me though covid! Never gotten to see him live but I’m such a giant fan! This is absolutely heartbreaking. Tod please, please get well.”

Snider is best known for his songs, “Beer Run,” “Just Like Old Times,” and “I Can’t Complain.” He was also inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame in October 2021.
