Dave and Jenny Marrs Are Intentional About Their Marriage
The pair just celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in April, and marked the occasion by renewing their vows.
In a video posted on Instagram of the intimate ceremony, Jenny writes, “‘You’re surrounded by your legacy’ 🥹🤍
This moment was, for me, the most sacred and special of our vow renewal ceremony and I’ll forever treasure this memory.
(Thank you, @nicktogle for leading this. You did a beautiful job, my friend. And thank you @mike_davello for capturing it all on video for us to watch again and again).”
The video shows the moment in the ceremony when the couple’s five children join them at the altar to pray over their parents.
Jenny Marrs Says Her New Book Is Her ‘Heart On the Page’
Jenny Marrs says her upcoming book, “Trust God, Love People” is an incredibly personal work that took her three years to write.
In an Instagram post about the process of bringing the book to life, she writes, “For the past three years, I’ve been quietly plugging away writing one story, one page, one chapter at a time. Small steps. Because the big picture of writing this book felt daunting.
Each time I sat down to write, I’d pray about which stories to share and then I’d wonder how in the world I’d ever take all of these stories and find the common thread connecting them. Until, my editor read the first draft of the manuscript. She said simply: This book is about learning to trust God and then, in turn, loving the people He puts in my path as a result of that deep, abiding trust.
And, a title was born: Trust God, Love People.
My talented friend and artist, Bethany, painted the watercolor for the cover and I couldn’t love it more. It feels like a snapshot of our life in this season.
I have so much more to say about this book. It’s my heart on the page and I am so proud of it while also holding it loosely. Who knows what God will do with the stories He’s entrusted me with. I’m extremely nervous and extremely grateful to get to share them with the world very soon.”
“Trust God, Love People” debuts October 7 and is available for pre-order here.
