Mariska Hargitay is set to make her Broadway debut, but the iconic actress will do so with a completely different look.
In photos shared by Hargitay’s hairstylist, Adir Abergel, on Monday, May 4, she was photographed with a huge smile on her face, showing off a new bob. There were several photos included, some of which show her putting on makeup while others are of the actress posing.
“NEW CUT FOR THE ONE AND ONLY @therealmariskahargitay BROADWAY DEBUT IN @brilliantbway ❤️❤️❤️❤️,” Abergel captioned the photos.
“Switching gears,” Hargitay commented on the post.
This comes as Hargitay will be taking the stage in her theater debut in Every Brilliant Thing in May, following Daniel Radcliffe’s run. The show’s officially Instagram account previously teased the haircut, sharing a video of the actress to celebrate it being one month from her debut.

Mariska Hargitay Opens Up About Her New Role
In a statement after it was revealed that Hargitay would be performing in Every Brilliant Thing, the actress opened up about what stood out to her regarding this show.
“I read Every Brilliant Thing and cried, rejoiced, laughed, cried some more, and loved it so much,” Hargitay expressed in a statement. “I’m always drawn to themes of healing and renewal, especially when the journey is rendered in all its complexity.
“It feels like an extraordinary gift to make my Broadway debut with a play that affirms life so beautifully. For me, the triumph of this beautiful piece of work, this luminous brilliant thing, is that through a deeply personal story, we experience the universal endeavor of keeping ourselves pointed towards light, compassion and hope.”
She will take the stage officially on May 26 at the Hudson Theatre in New York City, with her run going until June 28.
It is said to be a “one-of-a-kind solo show,” following a person who “looks back at (their) life and the glimmers of hope that carried (them) through. All told through a list of every wonderful, beautiful, and delightful thing—big, small, and everything in between—that makes,” according to the show’s official website. The play is written by Duncan Macmillan with Jonny Donahoe and directed by Jeremy Herrin and has been performed in more than 80 countries.
