Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos discussed the latest in the Nancy Guthrie disappearance case with reporter Brian Entin on Tuesday, February 17.
The Sheriff explained that investigators “still don’t have the video from Nancy’s other cameras.”
Investigators Release Doorbell Footage From Guthrie Home
It has been more than a week since investigators released footage obtained from Guthrie’s doorbell camera showing a masked, armed man tampering with her security camera.
“Over the last eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department have been working closely with our private sector partners to continue to recover any images and video footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors, including the removal of recording devices,” Nanos explained on February 10.
“Working with our partners—as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance,” he added.
Nanos previously revealed in a press conference that Guthrie did not have a subscription service connected to her camera system, which would have allowed the footage to be saved and recorded.
Now, while speaking to Entin, Nanos explained, “It’s in the hands of Google now.”
Details on the Suspect in Nancy Guthrie Disappearance
As the investigation continues into its third week, the search for Guthrie continues. However, little is known about the alleged suspect or suspects connected to her kidnapping.
Based on the footage from Guthrie’s front porch, FBI released a description of the suspect.
“The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’9” – 5’10” tall, with an average build. In the video, he is wearing a black, 25-liter ‘Ozark Trail Hiker Pack’ backpack,” the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Phoenix Division shared on February 12.
That same day, the agency doubled its reward from $50,000 to $100,000 “for information leading to the location of Nancy Guthrie and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.”
As of Monday, February 16, the entire Guthrie family, including Nancy’s children, Savannah Guthrie, Annie Guthrie and Camron Guthrie, as well as their spouses, have been ruled out as potential suspects, Nanos revealed.
“Not one single person in the family is a suspect,” Nanos later told Tucson’s KOLD. “So I am telling everyone, effective today, you guys [media] need to knock it off, quit. People are hurting. They are victims. I am saying they are clear. We have cleared them.”

On the camera showing the person trying to cover it – why do the eyebrows seem to possibly look like those of a female ? Continued prayers for the Guthrie family and especially for Nancy that she be returned safely.
