Cynthia Bailey Gives NeNe Leakes and Kenya Moore Relationship Update

Season 17 of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” is ongoing, with many fans saying one of the show’s highlights is Cynthia Bailey. Now, ahead of a new episode following her much-talked-about RHOA cast trip to Dallas, the “Housewives” legend is dishing on her friendship with NeNe Leakes and revealing that she still hasn’t spoken to Kenya Moore.

As RHOA fans know, Bailey returned to the show for season 16 as a friend of the show. This came after she departed ahead of season 14 after 11 years on the series.

Bailey recently appeared on TSR Reality TV to discuss “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” During the chat, the host asked for an update on her friendship with Leakes. The legendary model said, “You know what, I actually spoke to NeNe probably about three weeks ago.”

After that, Bailey stated that while they don’t see each other often and they’re not as close as during the RHOA days, “it’s all good” when they interact. Bailey also noted that this includes professionally with various projects they may be working on. As fans will recall, they both appeared on an episode of Netflix’s “The Upshaws.”

She went on, “We have a great relationship. We’re not super tight, but I love NeNe. I will always have love for her, and I have a lot of respect for her.” Then, Bailey added, “NeNe brought me into ‘Housewives.’ NeNe was the person that I came on as her friend on season 3.”

Bailey then said of Leakes, “The love is real and always for NeNe. We don’t talk as much as we used to, but when we do, it’s like we never stopped talking.” Both ladies will appear on Bravo’s “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th.”

Later on TSR Reality TV, the host asked Bailey about her friendship with Moore. As fans of the show know, Moore was cast for season 16 of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” but only filmed roughly half the season following an unfortunate incident at her now-closed hair salon.

According to Bailey, “I have not spoken to Kenya. Which is, that was like a real friendship.” After that, she stated that “out of respect for Kenya,” she wouldn’t go into more detail.

Previously, in April 2025, Bailey was asked by Us Weekly about the incident at Moore’s salon and where they stood. She told the outlet, “I know Kenya. I just held her to a standard that I hold for my friends, and I just felt like it was not good for Kenya. I just felt like she was bigger. I felt the way she responded was beneath her.”

At the time of the interview, Bailey stated that she hadn’t heard back from Moore “since everything happened.” For context, the unfortunate hail-salon incident occurred in June 2024.
