Reports that several former “Real Housewives of New York City” stars were launching a brand new reality show were confirmed in February 2026 when E! announced “The Golden Life.” Following Jill Zarin’s exit ahead of filming, the network has announced that RHONY alum Dorinda Medley will join the show.
The rest of the cast currently includes Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, and Kelly Bensimon.
RHONY Alum Dorinda Medley Released a Statement on Joining ‘The Golden Life’
GettyE! announced the news of Medley joining “The Golden Life” on February 17. The beloved RHONY alum said in a statement, “Well, the rumors are true! I will be joining the women on The Golden Life in Palm Beach. After decades of friendship and navigating life’s ups and downs together, it will be nice to reconnect with my ‘sisters.’ I am so excited to celebrate and share the next chapter of our lives!”
Upon its announcement, E! described the show, saying, “In this new ‘golden’ era of life, the longtime friends are thriving in and around Palm Beach with fabulous second homes and a bustling social scene. With their signature humor and non-stop hijinks, the series will follow the group as they navigate dating, family, and career milestones.”
As mentioned in the show’s description, the series will follow the women’s lives in Palm Beach. Notably, most of the cast call the Sunshine State home at least part of the year.
She Previously Reacted to the Show
Former RHONY star Ramona Singer teased the show on social media the night before the announcement. She said in a video, “I know you guys love watching me on Instagram, but guess what, it’s gonna be announced tomorrow, we’re gonna be filming for E TV. Six of the original Houseiwives so get ready for that.”
As fans know, the announcement included only five cast members, leading many to assume Medley would be announced later.
After that, Medley reacted on her radio show, “Reality Check.” She said, “Yes. Can’t say much about that. Unfortunately. I wish I could. Of course, I’ve gotten hundreds and hundreds of messages directly.” From there, she urged fans not to expect a premiere anytime soon.
According to Medley, “But you have to keep in mind, too, keep in mind that I’m working on a show here up at Blue Stone Manor. So, you know, you gotta handle these things with a very gentle hand.”

If only they could dump Kelly. She didn’t really gel with any of these women other than Jill, who used her as an info conduit, and maybe LuAnn. Not sure I’ll watch with Kelly involved.
I’ll watch but definitely fail to see what Kelly brings to the table. If they would bring back Bethenny, then Kelly can stay… Because I’d love to see Kelly’s jealousy for Bethenny send her into a complete psychotic break 😆
