Kyle Richards opened up about her 15 seasons on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and revealed why she feels she has a better relationship with the current cast than some from the past.
In a lengthy interview with BravoTV.com, the RHOBH OG addressed the current cast, which includes Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, Sutton Stracke, Bozoma Saint John, Rachel Zoe, and “friends” Kathy Hilton and Jennifer Tilly.
“I feel a lot better now with the cast than I have in the past,” Richards shared. “At times over these 15 years, there were some snakes in the grass, and I don’t feel like that now. We may disagree and argue, but you don’t feel like, ‘Oh my God, I have to watch my back with this person.’”
Kyle Richards Likes to Change the Cast Dynamic
BravoOver the years, Richards has butted heads on camera with everyone from her sister Kim Richards to her pal Camille Grammer. She’s lost friendships, too, like her once-close bond with Lisa Vanderpump. Fifteen years in, the Bravo TV veteran admitted that she likes it when new cast members come in and change the dynamic
“There have been moments that really change things and relationships: fighting with my sister Kim, or Camille, or Lisa Vanderpump and Ken. There’s just so many after this long,” she shared. “People will say, ‘Oh, recommend someone for next season,’ and I’m looking at my personal life, like, ‘I don’t know.’ It’s so challenging to navigate your friendships in this environment. It really makes you think twice about who you’d want to bring in.”
“I like that when new energy comes in, we all get to know each other together,” Richards added.
Kyle Richards Struggled With Returning to RHOBH This Season
Richards is the only constant member on all 15 seasons of RHOBH. During an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” in December 2025, she admitted she wished she had protected her family more when she first started on the show. Fans know that the Season 1 finale featured Richards’ blowout limo fight with her sister, Kim, which left them estranged for years after.
Richards has admitted that at the end of every season, she struggles with the decision to return to RHOBH. Speaking with Variety last fall, she said her most recent return was especially difficult amid her split from her husband, Mauricio Umansky, and the move-out and marriage of her daughter, Alexia.
“Coming back to the show was also very scary for me, but I was also afraid of change,” the RHOBH star said. “When that time does come, it’s going to be another loss, because it’s such a part of your life after 15 years. So I was afraid. I was honestly afraid. It’s part of my life. It’s weird — sometimes I don’t want it to be part of my life!”
